Kara also heard the ringing of her husband's phone so her attention was drawn to the phone. Seeing the caller ID, she felt like smashing the phone against the wall since she could already guess why he was calling.
"Mr. Adamson" Ben said as he placed the phone on his ear.
The party chairman rolled his eyes hearing how polite Ben sounded. He was angry seeing the insult directed to his daughter on social media. Of course, he would never accept his fault for publishing the news in the first place. Instead, he blamed Ray and his father. In his mind, if Ray had just shut his mouth at the party then nor of the insult would have been directed to his daughter.
So he decided to use this to force Ben's hand. He was going to threaten him, by withdrawing all his support after blaming him for the current situation.
