Chapter 1 - The Watchful Eyes

In the summer of June 7, 2003, a girl and her five friends were excited about buying a game that they can play at their house. Their names were Abby, Ted, Lincoln, Sarah, Franklin, and Lori. Lincoln had asked which store that they should go to. Sarah suggested Target because that's one of her favorite stores to shop at. Lincoln, feeling a bit skeptical, worries if the game would be too violent; seeing that Lincoln's mother is extremely overprotective of him. Ted scoffs by saying that the game isn't going to be one of those games that we normally play. The kids head on to Target to buy a new game.

While inside the store, the children decided to check in the "Toys" section to see find games that they described, in the own simple words, cool. They rummage through the pile like an army of angry hyenas trying to locate food in the Savannah. The cashier at the front desk noticed the kids' antics and demanded them to stop before they destroy the entire toy section. The other children, except for Lincoln, stared at him with deadpan expressions. Lincoln kindly told the cashier that were looking for a game that is less violent and more appropriate for us to play with. The cashier jokingly calls Lincoln a Momma's Boy, leading him to blush in embarrassment. Because of this, his employer reprimanded him for his disrespectful attitude, demanding him to get his attitude together before he cut his salary.

After the cashier went back to his desk, the employer asked the children which game that they would like to buy. When scattering the games into one big pile, Ted suggested that they should buy an antique ouija board called The Watchful Eyes. As the employer was putting on his reading glasses, he grew anxious of letting the kids buy the game. Confused, yet intrigued, the children wondered why the man was worried about the ouija board. The man explains that the game is believed to be cursed. Ouija boards were played by various people from generation to generation. According to paranormal, supernatural, and religious beliefs, people who played with ouija boards often end up experiencing supernatural phenomenon such as demonic possession. However, others such as paranormal investigators, have reported that people who play with ouija boards usually communicate with spirits. Despite the awkward warnings, the kids believed that it's nothing but a hoax, but Lincoln is the only one to believe the superstition.

Ted, confused as hell, glares at Lincoln stating that the employer was crazy and that there's no such thing as ghosts and demons because they don't exist. Ted then elaborates that the only ones who ever believed in that stuff are people who take way too much crack. Lincoln makes a snide statement to Ted by saying that your personality kind of fits with that persona. Abby tells the two boys to stop arguing so that they can pay for the game. The board cost $35. Abby, looking disappointed, only have $12 in her wallet. However, Franklin decided to hand her his $23 saying that she earned the money for helping him with his English homework. Abby smiles and said thank you to Franklin, as she was paying the cashier. When the children were heading to the door, the employer warns them about the supposed "cursed" ouija board saying that it will cursed them too. Ted gives the man the middle finger, telling him to go suck it.

The six friends headed back to Abby's house to play the game "The Watchful Eyes." Ted insists on opening the game, causing the board, the directions, and the planchette to fall on the floor. Franklin complains to Ted that he didn't have to open it so childishly. Abby takes the directions right underneath Ted's shoes and begins reading them.

Abby starts to read the directions from the paper:

Ouija's Written Rules

Hasbro has surprisingly few written rules for the Ouija board. Along with assembly instructions (attach the glide feet to the bottom of the planchette), Hasbro only offers a few instructions for play:

Set the board either on the players' laps or on a table between two players.

If there are additional players, they can take notes and act as scribes.

Put the planchette on the wooden board (letter side up) in the center. Both players place fingertips lightly on the planchette.

Everyone should concentrate.

Take turns asking questions, but everyone needs to agree and focus on the question. Speak slowly and clearly.

Wait for the Ouija board to answer.

After reading the directions, Abby ordered Ted to place the board on the table. Lincoln realizes that their's six of us and he acknowledges that everyone should play together since the table is big enough for us to play. Abby also recognized that the rules states that if there's more than two people then all of them can takes notes and act as scribes. She continues by telling Franklin to place the planchette onto the wooden board, letter side up. Everyone should concentrate and take turns asking questions, but everyone needs to speak slowly and clearly so that they can all focus on one question at a time. And lastly, they need to wait for an answer.

Ted demanded the other kids to give it a shot. While the others look reluctant to try, Abby volunteered to go first. She picked Ted to be the one to assist her in moving the planchette to see what kind of question the board offers. When the two were moving the planchette, Abby asks the first question: "Who are you?" As the other kids were looking anxiously, Abby and Ted have to wait for at least a few minutes for ouija board to respond to their answer. Ted can feel his knees trembling, but he tried to keep it under control because he doesn't want to agitate the spirits. When a few minutes passed, the board answers their question via moving the planchette: S.A.T.A.N.

Horrified, Abby and Ted both begin to tremble in fear when the spirit said that he was the Devil. But, the kids vow to never give up, since it's Lincoln and Sarah's turn. Lincoln moves the planchette while Sarah tries to calm him down by reminding him that it's just a game. Lincoln asked the question: "What's your purpose of communicating to us?" When a few minutes passed, the board answered him: I WANT TO TORTURE YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS. All of the children screamed in unison as their adrenaline had rushed rapidly inside their bodies. Full of fear and distress, Lincoln argues that he doesn't want to do this, indicating that the demon may come and haunt either one of them. Even though the other kids were shaking in terror, Franklin decided to try it out too, alongside Lori. Now, it's Franklin's turn to move the planchette. Similar to the other ones, Franklin asked one question to the spirit: "What are your intentions?" The board answers but this time in a threatening manner: MY ONE AND ONLY INTENTION ON COMMUNICATING WITH YOU IS TO KILL ALL OF YOU!

After that, all the kids began to panic in unison. Ted tried to calm them down by addressing that the employer was tricking them the whole time. But, the kids weren't listening as they were crying and screaming in fear about being murdered by the Devil. As the children were continuing panicking, Franklin begins to vomit copious amounts of blood from his mouth, startling his friends. Abby tries to help him, but he told her to run away. As the other kids were watching, Franklin's face was being ruptured by sharp claws that were protruding from his face. The hand then rips through his face, revealing the demon in full glory. Abby and her friends tried to run away, but the demon approaches them at full speed, grabbing Sarah's forehead.

Sarah began to scream in agony when Satan grabs her mouth violently. This causes her jaw to be split down the middle with gore spurting from the wound. The other four watched in horror as the demon begins to devour Sarah's corpse. They can hear flesh, muscles, and bones breaking and sloshing inside his bloody, moist mouth. Abby, Lincoln, Lori, and Ted attempted to run out of the house, only for Ted to sacrifice Lori and Lincoln to the Devil by kicking them in the face with his left foot. Lori and Lincoln tried to escape but Satan teleported to them and begin mutilating them one by one with his bare hands. Abby and Ted can hear the gurgling and the crunching coming from inside the house. Abby wasn't pleased with what Ted did berating him on the fact that it was a pretty screwed up thing to do. Wanting to figure out if the coast was clear, Ted takes one look inside the living room to see if the creature escaped.

No sound was heard and both Abby and Ted sighed in relief. However, the demon was punch through the door and grabbed both Abby and Ted from behind. Satan roared furiously as he began to choke both Ted and Abby. As he was choking both of them, he proceeded to devour Ted's entire body, while leaving Abby helpless in the palm of his hands. Inside, the Devil attempting to torture Abby by pinning her down on the floor and clawing at her face. Attempting to harm her body, the demon got knocked unconscious by the employer and grabs an almost hurt Abby by the shoulder. The employer asked her if she was hurt and Abby said yes.

Both of them proceeded to leave the house. Abby apologized to the man, saying that she should've believed the myth. The employer smiles at her, replying that she shouldn't have to worry. However, he brutally stabs her through the back, revealing himself to be a demon as well. After that, both demons begin to consume her flesh, while smiling eerily at each other.

After their done, they walk silently back into the house and closed the door completely shut. The demons then began to claw at the window, writing "DO NOT ENTER! BEWARE OF WATCHFUL EYES!" in full caps.
