A daughter of roses to shatter the sky and drown the world in her blood. With eyes of silver and fire of the blackest gold, the last will wield a long-forgotten sword and yield her fragile life to its price. A war that will not be, a sun that will never set. So wrote the stars.
The Sisters stare at each other, the three unblinking as they reshape a world long since burned to nothing.
Miro, the eldest, is given the earth. She chooses to live among the wild, and builds her throne out of roses and belladonna. Beautiful, lovely, and deadly. Her altar, the wiltingpot, is a cauldron at her side. A cauldron in which she can see life, death, here, and there. Her creations are men of stone and rot, fitting to her chosen home. She is the devourer of souls, granting humans magic at the greatest price. The Allseeing Miro, goddess of the earth and sky.
Molerin lays claim to the Underworld. Her home is built of cinders and brimstone, of fire and ash and blood. Her Bloodbourne altar is a preacher's pulpit, where through her Helfire she can see the suffering wrought to those not taken into paradise by her younger sister or wiped from existence by her elder. She claims fire and truth, and the Underworld is ruled by her and her alone.
Maven, the last, the Siren Queen, builds a paradise for her precious creations: life. She gifts magic to her chosen children, faerie creatures of any creed. Her gift is a soul to every living thing, so that one day they may all go into paradise, into her glorious After, and chose to come back anew into a new life, a new destiny, or stay at peace with the souls they knew. Her altar is a palace of ice, high on a mountain that humanity would come to name Atlas, at the Top of the World. The Dorian Breach, where sea meets sky. She claims the moon and her tide.
But none can claim the stars.
All three sisters create the price their people will pay for a precious piece of goddess-born magic. A price few but the desperate and dying will pay. That which is most desperate will eventually come, and he will beg for a Daughter of Stars. A daughter of Miro, he will request, to carry on his name. And the stars will answer with a prophecy hidden from its chosen Daughter.
Hidden, until she decides to make her own way. But the binding of her birthright will not let her concede her destiny so easily.
