"Is something the matter?" He caught up to her and asked when he saw her whip her head around rapidly.
"It's the moon." She lied. To be exact, she didn't know either and the moon was the only thing she could think of that could get her attention. "Let's go." She swept her eyes through the bushes and led the way back. He carried Destrian on their way to his chambers.
He let her settle on the bed and passed the boy over to her, who immediately flashed a toothless smile at the sight of his mother, earning a gentle kiss on his forehead.
"He is obsessed with you." He watched closely with a smirk.
She rolled her eyes at him. "He's your son, Darius." Why did he make it sound as though he was jealous of Destrian? In fact, he was jealous of every male living creature that came close to her, she observed. The same could be said about the horses and pegasus.
As expected, his remark was one filled with envy. "And you're my wife."
