FInding Elifur was already as hard as she thought anything could ever be, but that was nothing compared to interrogating him.
"I do not see anyone's birth. That's not how it works." He wanted to laugh when she told him what she needed him to do.
"Well, tell me how it works and do that." She was desperate.
"You don't understand me, Delaney." He pulled her away from the hallway where she had caught up with him and fired off her request like it didn't matter who overheard it. "Everything I see that's not in the present must have a purpose. Whether it's the past or the future, I can only channel my powers if it's going to be of important use."
