Chapter 86 - The Elders

Somewhere near The Tower, Nendrerth stood at the entrance of a volcano watching as her kind flew around. Every type of dragon imaginable surrounded the base and the tip of the volcano.

"Grandmother still sleeps. Even after gathering all of your siblings to this realm." A soft voice is heard behind her. Nendrerth turns to see Nieo walking towards her. At first glance she didn't seem to have changed until she stood beside her mother. The once little girl trapped in the darkness, now a grown woman. Her platinum hair pulled back into a ponytail

Nendrerth smiled then turned back around. "She's saving her strength against the other Elders, that is why she sleeps."

Nieo looked out towards the dark and ash covered sky, watching as a couple dragons flew up to the entrance. Nendrerth's hand reaches up as it swoops down toward her. Her hand gently resting agaisnt the nose between one's eyes. "Mother… I had another vision…"

Nendrerth looks over to her daughter once more. Her smile fading as Nieo's expression gave everything away. "Was it about him again?"

Nieo slightly nodded to her mothers question. "Zero keeps telling me Fenrir is going to die in this war… I don't know if telling him will worsen things or not…"

"Your powers have always been… An enigma to your father and I." Nendrerth gently sets her hand on the top of her daughters head as they watch the dragon fly off. "I cannot tell you what to do. But I will say this." Nieo looks up into her mothers eyes. "Do what you feel is right. But make sure your father knows what you decide." She smirked then told her "I don't want your father losing his temper around your Grandmother."

The two of them laughed slightly and continued to talk for a while. In front of the entrance of the mountain stood guard two men similar two Nendrerth herself. One wore armor that looked like a combination of scales and a rock formation from chest down to his toes as well as being helmet less. The one on the opposite side of the entrance wore similar armor but wore a helmet that only revealed his face.

"Elder sister!" The one without the helmet pointed towards the dark ashen sky as the dust clouds began to form a circle.

Nendrerth stopped and turn to look towards the sky I'm time to feel an intense and blood thirsty aura pour through the opening in the sky. Chills running down her spine. "Nieo! Get inside now!" She quickly looks to her daughter, whom had been frozen in place by the unknown aura. Flashbacks of Valoel's corruption filled her mind.

"Brothers, get my daughter inside for me!" She lifts Nieo up into her arms and gently hands her to them. "Mother isn't going to be happy about this."

The two guards spread wings and escorted Nieo back deep inside the mountain. Eaos swoops down with his six white wings and stands beside his love. "I came as soon as I sensed the aura. That didn't feel like the Master's aura. I assume that was an elder?"

"Beelzebub found us…" She stared up into the hole waiting for the figure to appear. "Mother hasn't gained enough energy to fight either of the elders. Let alone Beelzebub…"

Eaos could hear the terror in her voice. "We can try to hold him off." He gently placed his hand on her shoulder.

"He's not Chaos dammit.."

"You're right… I'm not Chaos." The voice suddenly came from in front of them. The two jump back and ready themselves. "Chaos was an imbecile whom I never should've lent my power to." The figure was that of a human wearing black baggy pants. His hands and feet bore black long nails. He had no shirt which revealed his pale bare chest and thin upper half. "You already know who I am so there's no need for introductions, Lady Nendrerth." His pale face had been sunken to reveal his jaw bones and making his fangs more prominent. His eyes were piercing white as he looked at the two.

Behind Eaos and Nendrerth, the volcano in which Nendrerth's mother slept, suddenly erupted. Volcanic ash and molten rock ahot up into the sky. "How dare you enter my domain!" Her thunderous voice roared through the sky.

"So that's where she was." Beelzebub said with a smirk. "Now I don't have to hunt your mother down."

Nendrerth's eyes began to glow bright.

"Stop taunting our old friend." A deeper voice was heard as another figure descends from the hole in the sky. He bore legs and a head that of a dog and had sharp black bat like wings. He didn't seem to have an aura at first glance.

"This isn't good…" Eaos didn't need to know who this second one was. He could tell at first glance and how casual he spoke to Beelzebub just exactly who he was. "Marchosias too?"

"Show yourself! Venia the Dragon Elder!" Marchosias lands beside Beelzebub across from Eaos and Nendrerth. The tip of the volcano behind Nendrerth shatters, revealing a giant scaled claw as it grips the remains of the tip. A second claw breaks out and grips the opposite side. Rocks and boulders falling from the sides of the the volcano. Vania slowly pulls her colossal body out.

"Mother. That's what they wanted!" Nendrerth tried to call out as she turned around. However it had been too late as she she looked back in time to see Beelzebub already face to face with her mother. Beelzebub raised his right hand, black aura forming around his fist like a blade. He slashed the air toward her throat. Which causes an explosion, ash and dirt kicked up to block out the view.

"Haven't seen each other in millennia and this is how I'm greeted." The dirt and dust still blocked the view but Nendrerth sighed softly as she realized what happened.

"Go get your daughter and find Fenrir…" It began to clear out to reveal a much older woman. Crimson wings spread from her back. Her eyes still glowing gold. "It's time we adults had a nice chat."
