This place is so beautiful. Look at all those people walking past me. Their genuine emotions flooded the entire street. I was somewhat feeling happy. The women are chatting with their companions happily with a natural grin. Their emotions change into angry from time to time. They were laughing out loud sometimes. The little kids were getting excited as they saw the tv's outside the shop playing animes. They were jumping up and down while their mothers were trying their hardest to calm them down. No matter how much they try they wouldn't succeed a bit. This was undoubtful a place for living. Glancing at the people pumped my heart with joy. This is where I live! This is the place I belong. In humans. I always felt anxious when with Mr.Heriss and others in that shop. But now, I felt like something big had been lifted from my broken heart. For a second, I lifted my head up in the air. I breathed the magnificent air with emotions feeling proud to be heard. However, a certain individual took a glace at me, making eye contact with me.
Oh, right I can't be full of myself. Even though my name has been removed from the news and TV channels there's a high chance that it was all a trick to lure me out. I again remembered myself. A suspect. I hurriedly lowered my head. If there's had a bounty on my head, how much it would be? Would it be a million dollars? Probably not, I'm not that much worth it. For the diary, it would go up by thousand folds. Nevertheless, I was walking on the street while hiding under the black hoodie. The thick cotton candy was preparing especially for a child around the age of five. I was glazing at him curiously. His father was with him holding his hand tightly. He didn't let his hand go for a single second. The child was quite a lot irritated by that. Children want freedom. They're like the birds flying over us. The one thing that made them unique is freedom.
They don't care what's going to them or what would be after effect. All they want is to enjoy freedom.
He was alone with his father. His mother was nowhere to be found. The father was having a hard time dealing with his dear child. On the other hand, the child was also having a hard time making his father realizing about his want of freedom. The scenario was familiar to me although the one I was familiar with had drastic changes.
As I was about to pass them, I saw the child finally freeing himself from the gasp of his father and was running onward with great pleasure.
Freedom is beautiful unless it turned into a deadly weapon.
Making a grin I began walking. However, that meantime, the child was running towards the busy road with great interest as if it was a different world than what he lives in. A large food truck was approaching him. It was going at great speed. A single slam from it and you would be dead on spot.
My eyes widen as I saw the children stopping in the mid-road. The unthinkable thing is about to happen. The truck was about to hit the child. I looked at the father and unfortunately, he was on a call on his phone. It seems probably his wife.
"I told you don't accuse me of your fault! Yes, it's your fault in the first place!"
Sh*t, what should I do? If I told the father now it would be late. Moreover, the child wasn't looking his right. The direction from the truck was coming. The driver wasn't noticing the child.
What should I do? If I save the child I would only gain attention. That's the least I want. As I was jamming my head thinking what should I do.
The child glazed at me for the first time. Up until now, he was only busy eating the cotton candy. But for the first time, he glanced at me and poured a smile.
"Jessica?" I spoke out unconditionally. The smile looked just like Jessica's.
"You sure are a fool." A voice came inside my mind but it wasn't the old fart's but it was pretty familiar.
Now, you left me no choice.
I jumped high to reach the child. The speed of mine was lighting speed. The truck was one inch away and I swiftly hugged the child tightly. At that moment the truck entered my territory.
[Invisible air shield activated]
The shield crammed the truck into half of its size. I was able to save the kid. Hugging him was a bit of shock to him. He was a lot tensed to see a complete stranger hugging him tightly. I hurriedly loosen my grip. He then looked at me with astonishing eyes filled with wonder. The people around were glaring at me with suspicious eyes as if they saw an alien. The father of the child gasped at the situation and ran towards his son with a worried expression. He wasn't a bit worried a moment ago when he was arguing on his phone. A crowd was gathered.
I gained more than enough attention. By standing up I was walking fast so that I could disappear into the crowd. But to my misfortune a massive copter was flying above my head, making gust of winds. I was unconditionally tried to run away but seeing a copter out of nowhere flying this close was a great shock to me. Not only me but also the people surrounding the area were stunned.
On the other hand, I pulled myself and was going through the crowd but I stood still again as military men were blocking the escape route. I could hear people coming down using the rope attached to the copter. There was a single person who was not wearing military uniform. His hair was partly white. The winkled face and dead-like expression. All made ensured that he was the one who was controlling this army. His eyes were locked on me as if I was being hunted here. At this moment, I seemed powerless. This scene looked exactly like in a movie where the villain gets surrounded by police forces.
*You can beat them up. Can't you? You got the power you know. If you try hard you could easily kill thirty to fifty people.*
"I can't. I can't control my power. If I try to give them a little punch I would be the seem villain here. They're h-human. they would understand that."
*You haven't given up on that? If you're that sure then why're you shaking like that.*
"I am not shaking." I got down on my knees with downcasted eyes. The people around me went out the border guarded by soldiers. They had to riffle their hands. Not the normal one. Electricity was sparkling on the end.
In the end, I haven't changed a bit. I'm still that worthless fellow fearing for his life.
A certain person came near me. It was the one I saw earlier. His coat was waving at the copter that was still in the air. In the middle of the road I was throbbing with fear and on the other hand, he was looking at me without the slightest bit of fear. Who is this person? Behind him, a younger man shouted,
"Mr. Lukas!"
