Chapter 62 - Home of Helena and Finn

"What? Did they adopt a human child? Are you kidding me?" I again drove into curiosity. "They could have left the child in someone's door. Are they fool?"

"Maybe they could but they didn't do that. There's no correct answer." Kurama calmly said.

"This is ridiculous. Didn't they fear what would happen to them if one of our kinds find it? It would only bring disaster to them."

"Well, it was their choice. I also don't understand why they did it. Was it because of the stupid emotion called 'Love'?"

"That's not possible. We didn't have those kinds of things."

"I know it sounds absurd but If it was the case."

"Well, continue the story, I'm getting bored." I pushed him to start again. He then changed his posture slightly. Not much has changed except he switched his right hand to his left hand under his chin.

"Well, (sigh)"

A sigh was heard as if he was about to begin. I could hide the excitement that was written on my scarily face. I was above the level of a middle school boy in curiosity level.

[Opidus District] (Currently known as 'Monkey's Resolve- CPA-4)

[Home of Helena and Finn- 3th Alley on right]

"Ahh, Helena just change his diaper. He stinks. I can't tolerate it anymore."

"If you can't tolerate that much then just die. Or else donut yourself."

"Hey, Hey! That's harsh. I was just saying…" I backed off a little because I knew I wouldn't able to win this argument. After that child came, she became attached to him and didn't even bother to look at me. Was it like that before? No, my hate for that child became more visible day by day. I wasn't able to strike him in front as Helena would always say beside him. He took my precious moments. I wasn't sure if I was able to knock him out any day soon because of Helena, the goddess.

"Oi, take him to me. I'm in the kitchen." Why did he even leave him to me? I had to smell his disgusting….ahhh, Hell Yeah!

I yelled out of frustration and that brat just kept chuckling as though it was fun for him. If I had a chance I would have killed him at that moment in the junkyard. Now, he's become a pain in ass. I was sure that he wasn't a good child, to begin with. His parents might have left him because of his irritating behavior.

"What are you mumbling? Just give him to him." She onwarded her arms as a sign of handing her the laughing machine.

"Here." I successfully detached myself from the pain in ass.

"Why did you leave him to me? Aren't you afraid that I would kill him?" I said straight forward and the answer was also straightforward but not what I expected.

"I never thought about that." I just dumbfoundedly stood there.

"I know you would never do that. You aren't that kind, to begin with."

She really thinks highly of me. I was a fool to ask such a silly question. Helena was always like that. She would trust others without a bit of doubt.

Even I knew her for years now I don't understand her. The life I'm leading was not for me. It was because of her on that day that I lived. I'm always thankful for her for that.

"Teste it!" She shoveled a spoon of hot carry into my mouth. Too much salt. Too much salt.

"How's it?" I was about to say that but glazing at her excited face I was unable to do so. The red chili powder that was sticking to her cheek made it clear that she worked hard to make it. For that reason, The only thing I could say is..

"It's good."

"Really?" She closed the distance between us. "It's my third try. I didn't expect it to turn out well."

"Raaaaarrrr"

That sick human child spoiled the mood again. Hearing his monstrous weeping, Helena began swinging his left and right slowly. The crying went off instantly. I got a feeling that she became a vegetarian in this field.

"You look just like a mother," I said that out of reflex. Why did even I said that?

"Huh?" He tilted her head for a second then after I understood the meanings she freaked out. She really is airheaded.

"W-what? What a-are your s-saying? I'm not even married…" Her brushed cheeks were enough to make her cute. I want to watch her like this forever. Anyone would fall for her.

"D-Don't say that again. You fool!" She tried to change the subject.

"Fine, fine." I moved on to the couch. The human child was sleeping peacefully in Helena's arms.

[4 years later]

It's been two years or so. I don't know how was we able to hide him from the world. It was possible because of Helena. She kept him so secretive that even something I forget about him. He can now walk and climb like a lizard. He would mass the whole house upside down. Not even Helena was able to stop him. He's a freaking devil in a human shell. I could tell from afar that he would become a bully in the future.

"Papa," I told him to not call me that. But Helena was making a poker face.

Now, I have to act.

"Yes, Human child." Oh shit, I messed up. The kid was confused about that.

"I mean dear. What is that you need?" I exchange glances with Helena. She was saying something like "that's good." with her eyes.

At that exact moment, A knock was heard from outside the door. A rather loud one. Both me and Helena went on our guards. No one should be here this hour. It's already past 10 pm. We had to be more courteous for the very reason of the existence of this kid.

"Mr. Finn? Helena dear! I know you are in there!" I cold mockery voice was heard from outside. We both are frightened as we know that person. No, we know him more than we should be.

"Helena" I signed her to hide the kid quickly. She nodded and left the dining room.
