Chapter 3 - The Training of real men

It was exactly 4:00 the recruits were all sleeping after yesterday's exercise, what the instructor called 'a light warm-up'. They were basically dead, had they not have been to the army before and lived through this kind of training already they wouldn't even be able to move anymore.

Suddenly a loud sound rang out

"WAKE UP WEAKLINGS, ITS TIME FOR MORNING EXERCISES."

With these words the day started, within one minute all the recruits were lined up, none daring to show a displeased face, fearing to anger the giant.

And boy, it was not for naught, the last 50 people to arrive at the drill grounds were punished to complete the whole morning training with 50 kg additional weights.

Needless to say, just 30 minutes in they were all on the ground unable to move.

Seeing the half-dead men, Sakah announced loudly:

"CONTINUE MOVING YOU TRASH, DON'T YOU DARE STOP UNTIL YOU CAN AT LEAST TAKE MY PUNCH HEAD ON AND SURVIVE."

Afterward, he picked up all 50 trainees and somehow stacked them all, weights and all onto his shoulders, and went towards one corner of the camp.

The others watched flabbergasted as a man seemingly holding a mountain moved without any hindrance, once again they resolved their hearts to not ever dare to displease the Supreme Leader.

After laying all the exhausted yet scared men on the ground, Sakah started giving them all a special massage, something that got to be called Devil's Heaven for its effects, a massage so painful the training before seemed really like a warm-up for kids in a summer camp, all whilst having amazing effects of relieving muscle tension.

After all, although you might not be able to move for a couple of hours, who cares if you feel completely anew afterward.

Soon, morning training was over, and next came breakfast, for food they had tree bark and dirty water.

Don't judge it, it's not an overstatement, full of proteins and stuff.

This way, the guards not only had at least some form of muscle ache but also ass pain too. Not a very enjoyable situation indeed.

Afterward came 2 hours of relaxation, which Sakah used for his own training, leaving a couple of craters on the ground, the follow up of landing after a dozen meter high and long jump with 500-kilogram weights.

Should I mention the broken rocks from the aftershock of his punches a couple of meters away?

For god's sake he was a human like them too, how could he do this kind of stuff? Basically, all of the guards shitted themselves, diarrhea, and all.

Then came midday training, real training, everyone was on point this time, so no one got the punishment, yet now everyone had to undertake Devil's Heaven, you could say their life here was Hell itself, pain and suffering every minute, without caring whether it was amidst their training, eating, or sleeping.

After such a difficult training, soon came lunch, this time they also got leaves for food, more useful minerals, alright?

This time they had a long resting time, gathering again for evening training at around 5 am. Needless to say, they were tortured once again in unthinkable ways while doing exercises that the dead war veterans would call a nightmare.

In the end, the devil was everywhere around them, they were scared of the training they got, they were even more scared of Sakah himself, yet all of that was nothing when compared to his own daily exercises, just imagining themselves doing what the instructor was doing made them scared, not excited and hoping they will reach it one day by hard work, but scared, scared their dear life would end if they dared to be one centimeter too close to Sakah when he walked around the camp, he was an unbeatable boss, a creature so strong the universe shook every time he stepped on the ground, he was both the universe and death itself.

Like this, life, or rather suffering commenced for the poor souls of these recruits.

It took two weeks, in two weeks they finally got used to such training, they no longer got the Devil's Heaven, obviously, no punishment either.

So, for Sakah it was time he steps up the game and boiiiii it went from 0 to 100 real quick.

The training went to the complete opposite, now they woke up at 5 in the afternoon, and had with breakfast, namely dinner.

The food went from 3 times a day, to that one 'breakfast' although they were given more portions, for a whole day of increased training, it was not even close to being enough, so some gutsy, or rather not really people decided to sneak in and eat some leaves secretly off the trees in their rest time.

Worst mistake of their life, quite literally. They did a horse stand in 130 kilograms of equipment, whoever fell, got a Devil's Heaven and made to stand up again, strange as it was they were destroyed yet alive.

That first day everyone got off lightly, they continued with the usual exercise they had before while watching their unlucky colleagues.

The next one however the punishment became ordinary, everyone wore 70 kilograms worth of equipment, and the training did not go down even a little, it actually went up, they were made to stretch, climb walls barehanded, chop trees with their punches, balance on poles 15 meters in the air.

What made the recruits shocked, was the results of the ones who were punished the day before, they resisted way more than the others, and they even looked stronger than before, so from the next day, the camp had a new group of people, namely masochist's, or as the others called them, Sacrificial Lambs, they intentionally got punished, were trained to a close death state, then revived again, then trained once more. What else could you call them but crazy and idiots?

The fun part was that the Sacrificial lambs featured 700 members, making up a majority of those who stayed.

In this way, another two weeks passed by, besides training, Sakah taught them survival, ways to hide, and methods of finding food, lethal attacks, and unbroken defenses, and the Sacrificial lambs officially have grown enough to eat up all the other recruits, now everyone chose to be willingly punished but walk out of it unscathed rather than suffer through hell both while training and then during recovery.

For Sakah this was obviously annoying, even though he was bored, and training these pests had surely helped contain it, too much exposure led to being fed up, however, since the deal with Rutia started he had to train them for three months he couldn't just bail midway, not for now at least, his boredom could still be suppressed by his pride and etiquette.

So, what could a slightly angry trainer do to his weak little guinea pigs? Obviously torture more, for the upcoming month, the daily regime did not exist, it changed every day, once they woke up at 5 am, another day at 1 pm, they now had to find their own food, and punishment was no longer sought after, let's just say that while getting punished indeed helped build up strength, no one dared to try and do the ever-changing exercises that featured even swimming wearing 250 kilograms of equipment.

The few ones with steel balls and thick faces who tried so ended not too well as Sakah started to hold back less and less during Devil's Heaven, simply the cries of the 7 men who had overestimated themselves were enough to teach everyone a lesson, don't get cocky, trash is trash even if put in a nice bin, however strong they got they will never reach the Supreme Leader's underarms.

You could say that while the first month of training their bodies to the limit of humans, the second one was going beyond it as well as improving one's mentality and thought process, truly an all-in service from a perfect instructor.

One might wonder what Sakah bad been doing all this time that the recruits tried to not die, why, he was scaring them with his training, of course, to be serious though, even the strongest man won't be the strongest forever without maintaining at least some form of training, muscle memory was after all, memory, not a permanent file saved on a desktop.

As for boredom alleviation, he took pleasure in invading the recruits resting times to play various games which mostly ended in regrettable states for the trainees, excluding those smarter ones that saw a loophole to get a free Devil's Heaven and forget the pain from the previous training.
