Chapter 710 - Chapter 32 Monster reign

Drip, thunder*

The heavy rain hit the ground as the people screamed in the darkness. Never-ending screams of despair along with begging for their lives sent chills to everyone, yet nobody could move except one man.

" This world is doomed."

Arthur stood next to the old man while covering his face with his hood. He raised his head to look at the giant monster near the building as he clenched his fists.

The veins on his temple bulged after seeing destruction across the city. Blood tainted streets, fire, and electricity everywhere while people desperately tried to run away from this monster.

" What kind of world is this? Why is everyone suffering?"

Arthur questioned the reality with a harsh face, raising his head to meet with its giant eyes. The cruel beast lowered its head to match the creature that wasn't afraid of its might.

" You dare to look at me, monster. You dare to claim people's lives."

A cold word escaped from his mouth as the winter wind blew out from his body. The cracking sound of ice silently approached the area as the old man shivered in the cold.

Boom*

Suddenly, a giant figure came flying toward the monster as it hit its head with a giant sword.

" Run!"

The old man grabbed Arthur's sleeves with his shivering hand, dragging him to the nearest building while Arthur observed the battle.

The giant figure was a machine that was built to fight these monsters. It had a giant core-like thing in its chest while holding a weapon that matched its height. Furthermore, Arthur could tell this thing was nuclear powered from its energy as he could feel it.

" Son, we have to hurry. Although the Jaeger could hold him, we don't know he can win against him."

Arthur was touched by this old man who was explaining things to him. Despite being weak, he didn't forget saving others and more importantly he was ready to sacrifice himself.

" Don't worry, sir. Today you will see the sun."

Arthur smiled at the bewildered old man as he retracted his sleeves. His eyes turned golden from his energy while his body flew up in shock at the man.

Boom*

Arthur immediately flew toward the giant monster, knocking it up in a single hit. The ground and glass were shattered from the impact while the robot stood there motionless.

Before it could regain its mobility, Arthur froze the entire area while holding a light spear in his hand.

" Hmm, it feels weird to use my power after all those struggles. Well, gotta use to it."

He mumbled under his breath, throwing it toward the monster with speed that surpassed sonic speed. The spear instantly obliterated the monster, leaving it charred on the ground while disappearing into thin air.

" As expected from my full power. I can kill something like this in one shot."

Arthur felt like he was floating in cloud nine after all those struggles, he finally got his body back. Moreover, he felt his body had been strengthened after near near-death situation, making it have strong regeneration power and muscle strength.

" Now then shall we head toward the main event?"

Arthur looked at the military on the road with their guns aiming at him. He raised his hands, flying down to them while seeing the familiar flag on their shoulders.

" This is the United States Army. We advise you to raise your hands and surrender yourself. I repeat, raise your hands and surrender."

Arthur chuckled at their words, standing on the ground as the soldiers encircled him with a giant robot behind them.

One of the young soldiers came forward with a pale face, putting a cuff on his hands while trying to force him to the vehicle but to his embarrassment, he couldn't budge Arthur a single bit. He was like a miniature version of a mountain and his body was hard as metal.

" Let me move myself. What is your name, young man?"

The soldier gulped at his remark, thinking the worst but there was nothing he could do since this man killed a monster that was as tall as a building.

" Sanchez, sir. I am sorry for the inconvenience but please bear with me."

Arthur shrugged his shoulders, reassuring him that he was harmless.
