The looks on the faces of Samone and Steven were priceless because they found the tomb of the new pharaoh that hadn't been discovered yet. This was a huge discovery for the people of the world and Egyptians because of its historical significance. No one would dare to loot or steal artifacts today, so they were extremely excited about this.
" Mr. Frost, look we found a new tomb. Maybe we will find a new ancient pharaoh and discover something new."
Arthur smiled at his words while narrowing his eyes with a cold face when he felt the energy behind them. He clicked his tongue, admitting their persistence for their goal but he wouldn't allow them to let an ancient God free in this world. Especially after witnessing Khonshu who could turn the time of the world, he believed Egyptian gods were more powerful than most of the gods.
In the attainment of power and wisdom, perhaps they were on par with the greatest gods and he didn't want such a being to start a war in his world.
" Let's hurry up before they get here. Steven, can you guide me to the chamber?"
Steven fell into anxiety before leading them to the further chambers while Samone recorded the scripts inside the tomb which she believed it came from the 3rd or 4th BC. It originated from the era of the Macedonian emperor who conquered the entire Europe.
" Fascinating, if we study more, maybe we could decipher the secrets behind the death of Alexander the Great because I believe this is his tomb."
Samone explained the scripts to Arthur while later heard with some interest on his face, thinking he might get some profit from this for his enormous cost and maybe he could also train some historians and archeologists since they were declining in numbers these days.
Otherwise, most of the things inside the tomb were pretty much useless to him who had both magic and science. He didn't mummify corpses or ancient technology for studying Egyptian technology because he didn't need such trivial things.
" We are here. If we look at the map, this is the chamber where we would find the item."
Steven took a deep breath while opening the chamber with his left hand. His heart beat faster than before, knowing he was writing another page for human history.
" Look at this! I knew it! This is the tomb of Alexander the Great. All these records and items."
Samone excitedly touched the vases and items around the tomb while inspecting the interior design. The mixture of Greek and Egyptian design dazzled her eyes. Such delicate cravings are rarely to be found in the ruins.
" So, according to the scarab. We have to get it from the corpse."
Steven gulped when he saw the mummified corpse, not knowing what to do because he wasn't going to put his hands in this thing.
" Salome, why don't you do it?"
Salome glared daggers at him, pointing herself with a black face. Her lips twitched when she heard audacious words of Steven.
" Sigh, let me do it."
Arthur pushed Steven out of his way while putting his hand inside the throat of the corpse. He felt something hard inside the throat, guessing it was their objective.
" I would put down if I were you."
A cold voice reached their ears as a man with a cane entered the room with his men and a hostage whom Steven liked. His eyes grew bigger when he saw Layla who was supposed to be in England, was held in Arthur Harrow's arm.
" Let her go!"
Suddenly Marc took control of their body, demanding to free Layla from his clutch. How he could listen to his words?
" You have no say in this matter, Marc Spector. I believe we had a deal when we met the first time."
Marc clenched his fists, turning himself into his combat mode but after a few seconds, his suit disappeared into nothing.
" What have you done!"
He roared with anger, trying to grab him by his throat but Salome stopped him right in time. She grabbed his sleeves, telling him to calm down because that was what Arthur Harrow wanted to do. He wanted to anger him so he could take advantage of them.
