The words of the past haunted Gorr as he walked in the desolate field of ice. During his hunt, he walked through timelines to fix the issue that was plaguing the entire universe- Gods.
Beings that shouldn't exist in mortal worlds and beings that brought nothing but despair. An embodiment of greed rather than generosity. They were much worse than demons, they were silent killers that brought destruction upon the land.
Thus, he gripped his sword with determination while killing everything in his way to cleanse this unholy being. His sword was plunged into the hearts of many gods and he was able to absorb some divine power that allowed him to travel through time.
" This place?"
Gorr raised his head, looking at the primordial creatures with pity in his eyes because they were blindly worshipping gods like him in the past.
To save them from their suffering, he needed to sever their connection by casting them to peaceful oblivion.
" Who are you?"
The Vikings looked at him with fear, not knowing what kind of creature he was and why he was holding a sword. However, they could see one thing and that was his eyes. He pitied them like they were unsolvable, his gaze was filled with a mixture of emotions.
" Rest in peace."
They couldn't understand his words but they could tell he was getting ready to attack them, so they grabbed their weapons and charged forward.
" For Valhalla!"
The Vikings roared with battlecry, deciding to kill this monstrous being but how could they match a being that could kill gods?
The poor man wasn't able to graze to a corner of his clothes as they fell to the ground one by one until the last remaining held his breath. He was terror stricken by the monster but he didn't show it on his face as he straightened his back. He silently prayed for the gods to save them, knowing he would end his journey but he hoped to hold this being back until the Gods arrived because he knew they were real.
His breath hastened under the influence of adrenaline as his pupil dilated due to a sudden energy course. His veins bulged, rushing toward the enemy that took his friends' life.
Gorr effortlessly dodged his attack while questioning him with a calm voice.
" Why do you seek help from gods? They are all the same and see us like ants. Do you think they will come and save you?"
The warrior took a gist of his words while raising his sword. His quick moves were proof of his experience but even he couldn't damage him.
" Because of honor and glory. I don't fight for them, I fight for myself and my beliefs. I fight for my people because I won't surrender."
Gorr understood his words, narrowing his eyes with a hint of disappointment. Perhaps, he lost these values a long time ago when he lost his people, but that didn't matter.
" So be it!"
Just as his sword was about to reach his head, thunder came crashing down on him sending him far away.
A young man with silver armor stood before Gorr while holding his hammer in his hand. His hammer was spewing out a mighty storm from its tip, crying out for more battle.
" Alien, how dare you invade our land? Do you have a death wish?"
Thor asked him with arrogance in his tone, demanding an answer from Gorr who killed his people.
The God butcher chuckled at his sword while swinging his sword to show his abilities. The jet black ink came out from the sword, looking at Thor with a greedy look.
" You must be the God of this planet. Let me guess, you are here because I invaded your territory, not for them."
Thor snorted at his words while spinning his hammer. To him the land wasn't precious or the faith, it was the people that attracted him most.
He went together with these mortals, and enjoyed drinking and having a banquet with them as a mortal God. Unlike in Asgard, he felt true freedom in this barbaric land, escaping from the expectations of the other gods.
" You will be judged by my thunder."
The sky darkened under his command as Thor plunged toward him with great speed.
