Chapter 562 - Chapter 76 King of Jungle

" This is squad 1. We are near the river. Waiting for the command."

The radio crackled as the man with a gray suit picked up the radio. His sinister eyes looked at the map, believing he could capture this post-Luke Berlin because this wasn't an urban war, it was a jungle war and in the end jungle, it was hard to move. Even the greatest archers of Eden couldn't penetrate it unless they removed their camouflage.

" All units intercept the supply chain. We will cut their throat tonight."

Pierce commanded, exiting his tent with a grin on his face.

Meanwhile, the Hydra and Hand units were pressing into the heart of the jungle to capture the outpost that was heavily guarded by Eden. They turned on their infrared glasses to find enemies and navigate through the Amazonian jungle. They had been training for this operation for months to effectively carry out their task.

However, they didn't see something. A black figure was hiding in the tall tree, looking down at them with cold eyes. He was like a predator, waiting to hunt down his prey as they unknowingly entered his zone.

Shipping*

A sharp claw protruded from his suit as he leaped down from the tree. Before the soldiers could open fire, he slashed down their guns and ripped their throats.

Cough*

The Hydrian soldier couldn't believe his eyes because this man managed to hide his presence from modern technology. He perfectly hid his body in the tree, avoiding their sight, and proceeded to kill them.

" A panther?"

He muttered, closing his eyes in this desolate jungle. T'challa looked at him with indifference as he picked up the tool and jumped on the trees to hunt down the rest of them.

On the other hand, Pierce looked at the man with a dilemma on his face. This man was simply holding a sword and shield but he singlehandedly slaughtered the entire elite squad by himself.

He gritted his teeth and muttered out a name.

" Tony Masters! They have deployed you here, huh?!"

He spoke coldly, drawing out his pistol, and fired at the man. Taskmaster just raised his shield, blocking the bullets like they were made of bullets.

" Alexander Pierce, I assumed you were dead. I guess I have to kill you here and incinerate your body for your future resurrection. It is a great intel for us."

He mumbled lightly, dashing toward him with his sword while throwing his shield. Pierce immediately hid behind the tree, slowly trying to find a gap in his defense, but how could he find it? A single slash of Taskmaster cut down the tree that he was hiding behind.

" Kuaagh!"

He felt blood rising into his throat as his vision blurred. He could tell Tony Masters became even stronger than before and he broke through his human limit. He became a monster that could fight against super-powered beings.

" You should have brought your friends. Arrogance is your downfall, Pierce."

A sword was inserted into his chest, dyeing the ground with red. Taskmaster was no hero and he was obligated to protect his mission.

" This is Hawkeye. I found Madame Gao and an unidentified man. They are proceeding to the north."

Taskmaster raised his head and looked at the north with a contemplating look. He pulled out the shield which was lodged in the tree and walked into the darkness.

Hawkeyes stealthily followed the two figures in the dark. He could tell these two were extremely powerful and he had no chance against them if he fought them here. Moreover, his role was a scout and he had to go as silently as possible in this jungle.

" I am on my way. Don't get near to them."

T'challa spoke calmly as he ended the conversation. The uneasy feeling got stronger when the conversation had ended. Clint could this wasn't as simple as it looks and he had to be vigilant because they were ambushed in Berlin.

" He is following us. Do you want me to capture him alive? I don't mind killing an avenger."

The man said with excitement while Madame Gao looked at him with a sharp look. She hired this oddball and knew he was a maniac who pursued a great hunt for his enjoyment.
