" The main problem isn't about the portals. It is about dimensions. Do you know how many worlds exist that could wipe out our worlds? If we screw up here, our space coordination would be revealed whether they are friendly or not."
Hank scolded Scott who was wearing a space suit to optimize the portal power. In order to create a school where future heroes and guardians attend, Arthur not only distributed portals to other countries, but he also took account of other races as well such as building one in Xander and Knowhere.
" Relax old man. Things would be fine since I am here. Besides, we can call others with the help of AI in our suits."
Scott laughed, getting out from the server power generator area. He looked around the capital city of Inhumans and understood their allies weren't simple. However, Arthur took the risk and extended his hand to show his goodwill, but the question was how long this peace would last.
Every living being had their desires and eventually, they would bear their fangs to their friends and allies. This was the most profound lesson that he learned throughout his life.
" Tsk* They might backstab us in the future. If it wasn't for Black Bolt and Arthur, they would start a war against mutants and us."
Scott muttered, feeling the arrogant gazes of Inhumans. Most of them were friendly and curious about Earth, but some of them were greedy after their technology and wealth.
" We can't do anything about that. Arthur had warned us that some of them would be hostile toward us."
Hank sighed, feeling ostriches in this damn city. As a scientist, he was proud of his achievement in this place, but as a human, he didn't want to come here because they were exposing their heart to their potential enemies.
" Don't worry. I will protect it with my life."
Crystal barged into their channel as she showed her will to help them. There was no way that they would lose this chance to develop their country, so she quickly warned her people to behave. Her cheeky behavior amused old Hank who was observing the situation. A smile formed on his old face because he remembered his wife who had a similar attitude.
" Crystal, you came? Aren't you supposed to be in New York to meet with mutants?"
Scott asked with curiosity as he turned his head back to take a look at her. Crystal didn't show any anxiety since she was free from her duty.
" No, sister went there. According to her, mutant factions seemed to be at odds and the government planned something for them, so she went there as an arbiter."
Crystal said lightly, thinking about the mutants. Honestly, humans and mutants didn't get along well due to their ideology difference and both of them observed each other with vigilance. Although they were allies thanks to Arthur, they weren't that close either. In fact, they preferred others would disappear from internal struggles out of each other's fear.
" That is new. I recall Gilgamesh saying about going there to find thieves, but I didn't hear any news from mutants. Even dark factions didn't say anything to us."
Hank analyzed the situation with deep thought. He understood Arthur was expanding his influence over the dimensions, so his strict observations weren't applied directly now. Hence, enemies were using this loophole to escape from their sight to expand their power to stand against Eden which was gathering power and wealth from other dimensions.
" Hank, relax. We have the most advanced technology and scientists in the world. Additionally, our city is basically a collection of the world's greatest beings. No one would target current Eden unless they have the power to destroy every country and living being in this world."
Scott patted his shoulder, relaxing his tight body. However, they forgot something in their conversation. There were enemies everywhere around them. Especially among their allies, many spies were lurking in the shadows as they leaked information about Eden, including their current space coordination.
Somewhere in the Alps.
" We meet again, Lex Luthor. I believe you have the thing that we wanted."
Crossbones said, looking at the bald man with a grin. Lex laughed at his words, revealing a remote.
" Here is your power suit. I have improved Stark's technology to match mine and also I added a few toys to the suit. I believe our alliance would be pleased to see our new invention."
He said with a big smile.
