Chapter 525 - Chapter 39 Break in

9th of August.

The two guards that were responsible for guarding the secret vault, were waiting for the next shift to arrive. Although they were just normal humans with proper training, they had the authority to utilize most of the mechanisms in the vault.

" John, it is time. Activate the maximum protocol and let's make our way home."

One of the guards said, checking the cameras. He switched back to his normal clothes and waited for his partner to finish.

" I don't know, man. I feel rather iffy today. Maybe, we should wait for a few minutes."

John said lightly, but he faced immediate debunk as the other man was in a hurry.

" Like seriously who is brave enough to mess with the dimensional port city with the greatest heroes and beings on the planet? I bet even Magneto and Dark Elves can't do a shit to us. Besides, look at our surroundings the A. I and our mechanical partners can take of this, right T 800?"

The man looked at the robot who was guarding the entrance. The robot nodded melancholy while Skynet allowed them to go since they were right. In its calculations, there were only a few noteworthy people across the dimensions that were able to reach here and they wouldn't be capable enough to conceal themselves.

" OK then. Skynet, I leave it to you. Have a nice night."

John spoke with a defeated look.

" You too, Mr. Smith."

Skynet bid them farewell as it saw no problem. However, she didn't notice something. The energy that was capable enough to block its senses was deployed as 4 figures entered the great library of Eden. The giant forbidden library had a massive collection of records and books that were priceless everywhere. They recorded magic, science, energies, technology, etc in their logs and most of them were deadly if they went outside.

" We have 5 minutes until the artificial reality gem is destroyed. Grab the books that you want and meet up here."

Gorgon motioned them to separate since their goals were different in the first place. Others nodded minding their business due to their time.

" It should be here, right?"

Gorgon muttered looking for the martial arts and medicine section to obtain great information.

Meanwhile, Mordo was looking at the giant magic library where he could feel a tremendous amount of power and energy emitting from the books. Each book had distinctive magic patterns and he could tell the books that he was searching for were there.

He observed around for a few seconds and found three books that attracted his attention. First, he pulled out the 'Mana Method' book, then proceeded to collect 'Intermediate Level Spells of Arcmages' which contained every Intermediate level spells in Eden's archives.

Lastly, he stood before the book which was shining like a star in the night. He saw the author's name and understood this was his true goal.

" Celestial Magic by Arthur Frost."

He muttered its name, skimming through the spells that had the power to bend reality and physics to a terrifying degree like the forbidden books in Kamar Taj. Moreover, he also saw Arthur's notes and thought it was a priceless book.

" Did you choose that book?"

He heard the voice from his behind and spotted a man with a cane. He was also holding three books, but oddly he hid the titles. Even so, Mordo could feel the familiar power from the books because he was the elder mage before.

" Divine books. Seems like you have ties with Gods."

Mordo replied calmly, believing this man had no interest in his books. Technically he was right because Arthur Harrow wanted to revive his goddess. His obsession with so-called justice was rather disgusting to him, but he closed his eyes this time.

" Indeed, I wanted to know about gods and their powers."

Arthur smiled mysteriously, plotting something inside him. The cane in his hand shone sinisterly, reflecting his inner heart.

" You two are sure enjoying your chat. Hurry up!"

A grey-haired man stepped out from the shadow. He scanned their bodies while acting high. As a noble mage of Einzbern, he was supposed to carry himself with dignity and elegance. Moreover, he hated working with a rogue and a fanatic.
