"Haha!"
Kyle shouted, reaping through the walls with his dual sword. His hands were shaking from the intense training, but he gritted his teeth and continued.
His long drafted over his shoulder, making him wilder and more ferocious than his inside. He who had seen his father's death, knew the best about his weakness. In front of great power, he was too immature despite his great mana and experience. The Infinity stones shattered his arrogance, showing him how weak he was in the first place.
He might be regarded as one of the most powerful heroes in Eden, but in front of people or beings like Thanos or Titans, his power was insignificant. Therefore, he trained like a madman, believing he would be able to fight along with his parents on the front line in the future.
" Stop, Kyle! You are going to ruin your body."
Illidan blocked him with his sword, looking at him in the eyes. He saw the despair that he had felt back ago when he was young in Kyle's eyes. He wasn't able to cope with the situation and blamed himself even though his father had returned.
He acted like he was alright on the outside, but he was going through a hard time. He was fighting to protect his family, not just the people. The burden of weak chained him with his guilt, drowning him in an ocean of no return.
In that ocean, many lost their ways and became monsters that forgot who truly they were in the first place. Although he was yet to reach it, he was pretty close to it by the looks of him. He was hiding his true intentions from his parents and kept looking for ways to strengthen himself.
" You lack patience, Kyle. The greatest enemy isn't your enemy, but you. If you keep going like this, you will go to a road where you can't look back like me. Your father give me a chance to redeem myself and I followed him. I know you aren't Arthur, but you are his eldest son and leader of the night elves and military unit in the city. Your mental health affects your colleagues and people."
Illidan reprimanded his role as his mentor and uncle. He looked up to Arthur who led the people with great leadership and he hoped Kyle would follow in his footsteps. Fortunately, Kyle didn't
disappoint him as he followed his father's will, but this sitting back caused him a huge scar in his heart.
Kyle hangs his head low, thinking about his recent behavior. He understood Arthur had seen him and let him be because there was no way he wouldn't notice him. Moreover, both Azshara and Tyrande didn't mention anything to him, giving him a hint.
They must have believed in him and hoped he would go out of this. However, he was doing the opposite and acting like an immature brat. Hence, he was ashamed to see Illidan.
" What should I do, uncle? My siblings are talented and as a brother, I have to guide them, but I kept lagging despite father's guidance."
He hit the ground with anger, expressing his confusion and rage. He was dissatisfied with himself and was afraid of facing his peerage. He didn't want to lose again.
" Accept it, Kyle. You aren't Arthur. You are you. Both your dad and I love you for your heart, not your talent. You are strong and you will keep getting stronger, but there would be always one person stronger than you."
Illidan pushed his sword to Kyle, gesturing for him to pick up his sword. He closed the gap and slashed him down with great momentum that made Kyle kneel on the ground with a surprised face. He looked up and saw Illidan was holding him down with raw strength that even surpassed his.
" Look, Kyle. A man with responsibility holds great power than a man without it. My responsibility is to protect my kind and this city from danger. I will gladly give my life to protect them."
Illidan said lightly, showing his burning eyes. The flames of hell directly gazed at him, making Kyle nervous. He never thought Illidan would be this strong. Perhaps, he was holding all the time because he saw him as no threat.
