Chapter 468 - Chapter 10 Doctor Bright

The funny looking walked through the corridors with the specially trained squad that was led by the old captain who guarded Arthur during his amnesia period. He had a huge scar that covered half of his face unlike before and his aura was no joke.

" Shoot down any unknown entities. Secure the floor and locate the anomalies."

He commanded while biting down the jerky in his hand with nolanchy. He wasn't afraid of the anomalies because he had fought against them for decades.

" Isn't that too hasty? I mean there are 173, 096, 106, and 049 here. They are highly dangerous anomalies that require a few squadrons to contain their rampage."

Bright asked with puzzlement due to the number of team members. He thought they were too shorthanded, counting only 15 to 20 people here. Thus, he was quite hesitant about whether he should use the anomaly power or not.

" Don't mind our numbers. We are the elites of the foundation that contained them before."

The old man replied, pulling out his pistol from his pocket as he strode towards the dark corridors without any fear. He could feel the chill in the air and the blood smell that was lingering through the corridors.

" Humph, it has been a long time since I have stretched like this. Don't disappoint me, monsters."

He mumbled, smiling with excitement. The halls were eerie and gloomy due to the power of 106. The monster was probably injured because he couldn't feel the bloodlust that haunted its prey.

" Seems, a lot of things are going on this site. Even the old man has been injured."

He commented while tracking down the liquid which led him to the wall where he spotted the black hole which was inviting him to the entrance. He took out a flashbang from his pocket, gesturing his men to take cover while he threw the flashbang into the hole.

Screech*

He heard the furious yelling of the old man as he jumped out from his dimension with a haggard look. He furiously looked at the squad with scarlet eyes that were glowing with bloodthirst. Especially, he recognized these insolent bastards who dared to hurt him. They were his old enemies whom he wished to tear apart but now wasn't the time. He was gravely injured by the immortal monster in his dimension, so he decided to flee before they capture him. However, the old captain immediately understood its intent to flee as he frowned with a serious look. The most dangerous beast wasn't the healthy one, but an injured one. Therefore, he didn't hesitate to pull out the special grade flashbang that would detonate multiple times along with his special equipment that would help him to contain the old man.

Bang*

The light illuminated the corridors as the old man shouted with anguish. He was extremely weakened, thus he was unable to resist the light.

" Capture him into his cell and look for the other anomalies before they do something."

He ordered his men to contain him. He took out the jerky from his pocket as he saw the glittering bone pieces with distress because he knew what kind of abomination was it. It was the remains of 096 which was corroded in the acid of 106.

" Also, throw these bones to 096's cage before it regenerates. How troublesome!"

He said, rubbing his temple with stress. He was just too old for this kind of operation. On the other hand, Bright immediately took out his pen when he saw the mutual destruction of the two anomalies which was new to him. He never imagined 106 would be able to restrict 096 which was outrageous enough.

" Interesting. Arthur said it was possible, but I never imagined this would happen. Haha, life is indeed bliss."

He laughed, not caring about the wonderous faces of the squad members. They heard Bright was an unusual man who was infamous for his constant troubles. They saw curious Bright examining the bones with great interest as he took out something from his pocket while proceeding to chip the bones, but he couldn't chip it at all.

" Give up, it is indestructible. We have tried it before."

The old captain said, urging his men to hasten their movements.
