Arthur stood before the giant display with his group of scientists and soldiers. All of them were heavily influenced by the fear of their creation because the weather device was the most devastating weapon of the entire human race. Even nuclear bombs weren't strong as these devices yet they were using this now.

" All staff position yourselves. On my command. 3,2,1!"

Arthur turned the key and the crackling sound of chains was heard through the halls. It was impeding doom that would take away millions of lives.

The green lights immediately turned into red lights as they indicated it wasn't peacetime.

" Pinpoint the major cities. Activate the nuclear signal. Deploying EMP in 5 minutes."

The scientists bowed their heads and started typing on the computer. Their sole mission was saving as many as possible even if they were their enemies.

" Connect me to the central radio frequency."

General Ben said while staring at the display. He took the radio up.

" To the citizens of the United States of America. We are under the aggression of enemy invaders. Thus, we are deploying our greatest weapon that will change the course of history. If you are listening to my voice, please hide and run. I pray for your safety."

He spoke with a sad expression. He knew this wouldn't go without any casualties. However, it was the imminent deaths.

" Start the device!"

Arthur said while shaking his head. Various cities throughout America were pinpointed with different markings.

" Deploying EMP missiles. Counting down for the first explosion. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1. The missile hit the airfield successfully. We have successfully disarmed the enemy devices."

The colonel said with indifference in his voice. He clenched his fists and continued to monitor the screen.

" We will liberate Washington first. Fire, lightning strike!"

Meanwhile in the capital.

Evan looked at the sky with hope. He took off his old cup and raised his head free of guilt. He threw his gun down to his feet.

" Joanna, Jack, I have avenged your death."

He said while the tear keeps dripping down.

The sky darkened with incredible pace. The lightning were crawling like snakes in the cloud. The sound of destruction and wrath filled the entire capital.

" I guess this is the end of me."

He spoke with a calm tone. He had enough of suffering these days. He lost his family and friends. He lost everything.

The lightning struck down on him without any mercy. However, this was the last blessing for him, a merciful death that he was looking for.

On the other hand, Major General Vasiliy was looking at the sky with distress. Unlike other officers who had escaped from this city, he had stayed with his men. He lit his cigar as he puffed out smoke from his mouth.

" Men, we will stay together and die together."

He said while cutting his cigar. He knew he can't escape from this place because both God and his motherland had abandoned him in this land.

He had no place to call home anymore since he lost his family.

" We salute you."

The soldiers and officers shouted with strong spirits. Their looks were firm and they regarded it as an honor to pass with their general.

" Fools."

General Vasiliy said while putting down his hat.

The liberation war cost 1 million lives as a result of their absolute victory. Civilians were glad to hear such good news, but Arthur knew it was the most tragic sight. He was looking at the devastated cities and corpses on the screen.

" I hope this war will end soon."

Tanya spoke with a gentle tone. Her face was filled with sorrow and hatred. She hated Yuri and Romanov who initiated this war in where many had been buried under the soil.

" I will personally kill him."

Arthur said as he clenched the key. His breath was getting rapid so does his blood pressure. His veins were popping out from his temple.

" Don't worry, I will leave them to you. You can do whatever you want."

General Ben said, patting Arthur on his shoulder. He wasn't a merciful person in the first place. For Arthur's anger, he could cough up a few criminal lives even if it was crossing the line.
