Arthur tied the soldiers and left the building. He was heading towards the downtown area where Soviet soldiers had landed. The gun sounds were echoing everywhere which indicated people were still fighting against them.
Arthur activated his stealth function and climbed the nearest building which had 3 stories. He threw his gun to the roof and climbed the ladder.
Climb*
He climbed the ladder swiftly and put his guns next to him.
" Zoom in"
His eyeglasses zoomed on the downtown area and showed a map in the upper corner. Arthur clicked his tongue when he saw the number of soldiers.
There were at least 100 of them with advanced weapons. Arthur was sure that he would be dead meat if he fought them head-on. Although he can take out a squad or two, he wasn't super human-like in his world. He will die if he gets a fatal wound like others.
" Let's see. Taking out an officer would be a good plan, but it would hinder their movements only for a few and there are still soldiers in other areas. If my estimation is right, there should be around 300 to 400 soldiers in Princeton. Armored vehicles shouldn't be here because the coast area is still a little far away from here."
Arthur picked up his black pistol and aimed at the tent.
" Activate thermal scanner with the sonar function. Show a detailed map of the area and calculate the wind."
Eyeglasses quickly calculated the outcome and showed the results. This happened thanks to its superior AI and satellite support system.
Arthur saw four figures in the tent and they were chatting. Arthur aimed at one of them and pressed the trigger.
Bang*
A cloud of smoke came out from the pistol barrel and the bullet flew like a sniper rifle bullet. It was even stronger than sniper bullets. Rotation speed and penetrating power almost equaled anti-matter rifles in this regard.
Bang*
The Head officer's head was penetrated like it was drilled. A big hole appeared in his head and he fell. Other officers immediately fell panicking and took cover. They shouted with fury.
" Guards, there is a sniper nearby. Find him."
Soldiers hastily rushed out of the camp and approached the nearby buildings.
Arthur saw their moves. He put his pistol and calmly left to the streets. He simply activated his stealth function and walked in the shadows where there is minimal light.
" Well, that was anticlimactic. Let's get back and ready ourselves."
He saw a shop that was abandoned in the streets. There was no person on that street, so he just went in and grabbed some coke and chips from the shelves.
Rip*
He tore the chips bag and ate some of it while drinking a can of coke. He didn't look like a person who was in the middle of the war because he knew anxiety will kill him. Arthur squeezed the bag and can, he threw them into the bin.
1 hour later.
Arthur returned to the laboratory and found the soldiers. They were waiting for him obviously.
" Mr. Frost, I am glad you are safe. Where were you by the way?"
Arthur didn't try to hide as he told them that he killed their head officer. The soldiers looked at with shock because he was unscathed and he didn't look tired.
Colonel coughed and reminded them to be calm.
" Mr. Frost, we saw the overall situation and we are here to inform you something."
Arthur had a bad feeling about this. He took a deep breath and said lightly.
" What happened?"
Colonel stood there with silence. He opened his mouth with difficulty.
" We have lost most of our cities including Washington D.C. Our nuclear silos have been disabled by unknown forces and we cannot access our nuclear weapons. Houston is in dire situation and most importantly we lost our biggest VIPs. President and Vice president have been assassinated by unknown assailants."
Arthur's mind immediately fell into trance. He thought they were almost lost to Soviet. However, there is still a hope. Most of them means some of the cities are operating.
" Please tell me. Which cities are still under our control?"
Colonel said sharply.
" Central cities didn't fell yet. We can recover them. Most importantly our army hasn't been destroyed yet. We still have some aircrafts and ships."
