Nyssa shook her drink a little. She asked.
" Why do you protect humans that much?"
Arthur sipped his drink. His eyes showed nostalgia.
" Because I love them. When I was young, many kind people helped my family. They always showed a bright smile when they helped us. That's why I became a hero. I wanted to show my smile and rest assure them. I wanted to become their hope and beacon."
Nyssa nodded. Her eyes showed a gentle look.
" I understand now. Do you think I can become a beacon like you?"
Arthur looked at her with a smile.
" Everyone can become a hero as long as they do their best. I can guarantee that."
Nyssa smiled brightly. She said happily.
" Then I will change my people. I will lead them to peace."
Arthur patted her shoulder. He said earnestly.
" I know you can. I believe in you because your eyes are different from your father's. They don't have greed and lust for more power."
Nyssa touched her eyes. She never thought Arthur would regard her like this. Perhaps this was her fate. From the moment she met him, she always thought about her future. She wanted to be a hero like them.
Boom*
Suddenly, an explosion happened in the club. Arthur calmly put down his drink. He grinned.
" It appears that our guests have appeared."
Nyssa quickly said to her walkie-talkie.
" All units prepare for the battle. Our target is here."
Arthur took off his coat. He stood there with his bare chest. Nyssa gulped at his figure because it was too perfect. His chest and abs were perfect. His back and arms were slim yet muscular. Arthur cut his finger and his blood dropped on the floor. The reapers immediately felt magical smell. It was aromatic and tasty.
They rushed to Arthur with fanatical looks. Arthur didn't change his expression at all. He was smiling like usual.
Nyssa ordered.
" All units fire."
Bang, bang*
The furious bullet storm engulfed the reapers. The bullets shredded them into pieces. Arthur looked at the corpses without any expression. He sniffed the air.
" He has escaped. I can smell his blood."
Nyssa nodded. She got up from her seat and picked her gun.
" Where is he?"
Arthur pointed to the underground.
" In the sewers. He probably wanted to erase his smell."
Nyssa said loudly.
" You heard him. Let's keep going."
The vampires nodded. Blade came next to Arthur. He said quietly.
" I don't trust them. I feel they have ulterior movement against us."
Arthur nodded.
" Where are Karen and Whistler?"
Blade replied lightly.
" I left them. They need to guard the base."
Arthur closed his eyes. He said calmly.
" Scud is the traitor. We must act like we didn't see his betrayal."
Blade snorted. He hates betrayer the most.
" I understand. So, what's the plan?"
Arthur opened his eyes. His eyes showed a sharp look.
" Kill the lord. He is an obstacle for us. We must clean to keep the peace. After that, we will slowly exterminate other unstable vampires."
Blade nodded. He said seriously.
" Shall we kill Nyssa? She is a noble vampire, after all."
Arthur shook his head.
" No need. She has the same idea like us. She is our key to the coexistence."
Blade accepted this. He looked at the vampires with cold eyes.
" We need to sacrifice a few for our goal."
Arthur nodded. His eyes revealed his killing intent.
" Just kill the loyal ones. We require some of them."
Blade nodded.
Splash*
They jumped down to the sewers. Nyssa came back to them with a grim face.
" I lost him, but he must be close."
Blade said with indifference.
" Don't worry, he is close. I can feel it."
Nyssa believed his words. She looked at Arthur with expectation. Arthur didn't disappoint him.
" He is right. Just go to the right."
Nyssa gestured her men. They followed her order.
Drop, drop*
They slowly went into the hole. Arthur said loudly.
" Stop, it's ambush."
The vampires immediately aimed at the darkness. They opened fire.
Screech*
The reapers attacked them with mad looks. The vampires shouted.
" Retreat."
Nyssa also followed them. Arthur looked at the vampires. He snapped his finger silently. Some of them fell down. They groaned as their knees were injured. Nyssa's face was paled instantly.
