(Person's POV)
Words. Words they can mean something, uplifting and peaceful. They produce pain, bitterness and sorrow. Words cause war but can also end wars and lastly make knowledge.
For years and years, I have gone through the discovery and awe in things thought lost, achievements that no one would have dreamed of. I know that you are thinking I'm too arrogant for my own good but it's true.
But no one would know of it because it is something that would keep secret.
The explosion in the distance screams drowned by gunshots. Prays and chants from the civilians on my right to their gods, praying to save us and hope that this will be over. People tending to the wounded which I guess are medical staff. On my left rubble upon the rubble of a once great building that reaches the bright sky, now fierce fires that spread through the surrounding area their smoke blackening the sky.
I realised I was sitting down leaning against a damaged building which looks like it's ready to fall. A hand on my holding mine and another placing it on my shoulder
"Everything will be fine... it will be ok" over and over this voice seems older but I cannot tell who this is.
The sound of fighter pilots zooming past us in the sky, bright balls of flame popping up in the sky.
I tried standing up but the person next to me stopped me from doing so.
"You shouldn't be standing up I'm surprised you're sitting up from the wounds you've taken from the blast the medics say you cracked 2 ribs and bruised the rest including dislocating your shoulder," They said pointing at the arm "They were able to set it back" reassuring me.
Now that I'm not concentrating on my surroundings the feeling of pain starts to move in through me, making it hard to breathe a bit.
They squeeze my hand a bit and said "rest you look tired will see if we can find a solution to this situation we are in"
Sleep, it sounds nice yes that sounds very nice right now. So with trying to give as much comfort to myself as I can I slowly drift to sleep even with the sounds of fighting and explosions in the background.
