Sounds of footsteps echoed off The Dungeon's walls as a skeleton ran off. Then, the ground began to shake.
"Boss! Boss! The reinforcements have arrived!" The same skeleton yelled.Â
"What grade are they?" A giant skeleton asked back, in his mighty voice.
"They're fresh out of the academy!" The skeleton took a look around. "We're scrod."
Just then, a skeleton with a height of about 5'9 took a step forward. It raised its hand to salute. Then, It was broken to pieces by a magical arrow.
"We're all dead..." The skeleton ran for an exit to escape, but it, too, was killed. 'well, dam. That sucked.' The skeleton thought.
. . .
. . . .
. . . . .
A voice came over the intercom of the dungeon. "Alright, undead, let's clean it up."Â
A large skeleton ran by, carrying a bundle of wood. "Hey, Frank, great job today, looser! HA!"
Frank was a normal-sized skeleton with a height of 6'4. He was wearing a military hat and ACU (Army Combat Uniform) that were in horrible condition. His left eye socket had a dark purple circle iris in it, while the right had a golden more oval shape iris.
Frank was very timid and didn't have a single grain of leadership in him. People even compared him to flowers. He was gentle and exquisite but couldn't harm a fly. His fighting style contained only running. In fact, that's what he did with most of his problems. He would run.
Frank, the same skeleton commander from before, hunched over and put his head down. "I'm such a disgrace! I can't even die like I'm supposed to."
Frank was on the verge of crying when the intercoms came on again. "Skeleton number, 4259, come to my office right now!"
Frank took off towards the Skeleton boss's office. 'Crap, what am I in trouble for now?!'
. . .
. . . .
. . . . .
Frank ran in as fast as he could. "Y-yes, Boss!"
"Frank, I'm not going to sugar coat it. You suck at being a commanding skeleton." The skeleton boss paced around the room.
The skeleton boss held himself with high stature. His height was 9'5, and he had a scar running down his left eye socket. The dots in his eye sockets were an angry red color. They were also brighter than most other skeleton crystals. He wore the same class uniform as Frank, but his uniform looked more intact.
The skeleton boss's personality was that of a bull. He was impulsive and easy to anger. He also didn't have a shred of remorse for those weaker than him. If it came down to it, he would even kill a fellow skeleton to save his bones.
"I-I'm sorry, boss." Frank scampered out, still trying to catch his breath(1). "I-I can do better. I swear!"
The skeleton boss stopped. "No, Frank! NO. YOU. CAN'T." The skeleton boss then looked towards the picture on his desk.Â
It was a picture of Frank, Skully, his wife, and himself. It was just like any other family photo. In the photo, they were all smiling and having the time of their lives
"Fank, son(2), you just aren't cut out for the life of a skeleton commander." Frank's father had a look of disappointment that soon turned to anger, on his skull.
Frank gained a hurt look. Then he looked his father straight in the eye sockets. "Father, you don't understand. I-I'm trying my hardest."
"Son, I'm sorry, but I'm demoting you." Frank's father looked at Frank with anger and disappointment. "TSK. You aren't like all the rest of us skeletons. I guess you took more after your mother, in that regard."
"N-no! Father, you can't!" Frank slammed his bonny hands down on the table. "I do more work than any other skeleton here! I do whatever you, or any higher up for that matter, ask!"
Frank was already seen as a failure by all the other skeletons. With The Skeleton Commander title gone, he would no longer have the chance to be something.
Frank didn't stop there, though. "It seems now you only ever order me around! Well, dad, I do everything you ask and more, but you still aren't satisfied, are you?! You've changed since mom died, and not in a good way."
That was the end of Bones' patients. "Listen here, you ungrateful brat. I took care of you. I got you the commander position. I did it all so you could have the best undead life you could. And all I ever do is 'demand'? I should have never let your mother talk me into making you(3)!"
With his father's unmovable look, Frank ran out of the office. He ran as fast as his bones could take him, tears(4) threatening to escape. Bones plopped down on his chair and took the picture off his desk. He then proceeded to throw it on the ground and stomp on it.
. . .
. . . .
. . . . .
As he was running, Frank bumped into a female skeleton, knocking both of them over. "Frank? What's wrong?"
Frank was about to take off when he noticed who he knocked over. "I don't want to talk about it, Kasandra."
With a height of 5'0 feet, Kasandra was a relatively smaller skeleton. She had some of the whitest bones in the skeleton race, and she could easily take down a group of 3 LVL. 5 adventurers. Her eye sockets had the usual blue dots in them. The blue iris in her right eye socket was brighter than her left due to a damaged magic cristal at creation.
Kasandra's personality was somewhat on the offside, though. She didn't take pleasure in killing like all the other skeletons. She was one of the more peaceful monsters but still sadistic.
"Frank, was it your father again?" Kasandra was one of the only monsters in the whole dungeon that was actually nice and talked to Frank.
Frank sighed and started to help Kasandra up. "He's just been completely different since mom died. He is always completely absorbed into his work, and I feel like he takes all his frustration out on me."
Kasandra started to walk with Frank. "If you want, you can come over to my house(5), and we can play some RPGs."Â
Frank looked down. "No thanks, I think I'll head out and clear my head."Â
Whenever Frank needed time to himself, he would go back to the one place he felt closest to his mother. The Rock.
The Rock was a giant bolder about one mile outside of the dungeon. No one ever left The Dungeon. It was frowned upon for monsters to leave The Dungeon because their immortality doesn't work outside.
Kasandra gained a worried look. "Be careful, Frank. I don't want to find you outside of The Dungeon, dead."
Frank would have thanked her for worrying, but he could see the message hidden beneath the words. 'I don't want you to die like your mother.' is what she really meant.
As soon as she realized what she said, she turned to give him an apology. Before she could, Frank was already gone.
. . .Â
. . . .
. . . . .
It only took 10 minutes for Frank to get to The Rock. He to a seat right where his mother would have sat. 'Mom, I miss you.' Frank already had tears coming down his skull.Â
Whenever he came to The Rock after his mother died, he would cry. It was supposed to be the one happy place he had, but it was far from that.
He would tell people It was to feel better, but the real reason he went to punish himself. Anxiety would constantly bombard his thoughts while at The Rock. 'If only I hadn't been such a disgrace, you wouldn't be in The Realm Of Darkness.'Â
The Realm Of Darkness is the afterlife of the undead. Whenever an undead dies, they enter the realm. The Realm Of Darkness wasn't the only realm, either.Â
There were 5 Realms Of The Undead, one of which was The Realm Of Rebirth. As a high-level monster, you would go to The Realm Of Rebirth, where you would be reborn as a different monster and keep your memory.
Frank's mother wasn't of a high-level, though, so most in The dungeon thought she had entered The Realm Of Darkness.Â
To the undead, The Realm Of Darkness was a disgusting place. In The Realm Of Darkness, those with a week, the mind would be corrupted. When an undead soul becomes corrupted, it loses all sense of being and attacks those closest to it and the thing giving Frank the anxiety was he left his mother to that same fate.
. . .
. . . .
. . . . .
Hours passed, and Frank thought it time to head back. As he was about 3 feet away, The Rock exploded. Some of the shrapnel hit frank. Frank, being a skeleton, shrugged it off, but he didn't relax.Â
Frank looked back towards the rubble and saw what did it. He stopped dead in his tracks. If he had blood, it would have run cold. The demon that was standing over the pile of rubble was the same one that killed his mother, Skully.
It was a giant bear, lion hybrid. It stood roughly 20 yards high while on two legs. It was furry like a bear and had the mane of a lion. Its claws were also that of a lion. It's right eye looked to be mauled off, and the left had a relatively fresh-cut stretching from the top of his forehead down to his jaws.
The giant monstrosity Gave a massive roar and took off towards The Dungeon. Frank knew what it intended to do, but his legs still couldn't move.
The longer Frank stood there, the more anger he had towards the other skeletons. He was even starting to think they all deserved it after all they did to him daily.

1. Skeletons still have stamina.
2. Frank is not biologically his son, cuz, you know, they don't have reproductive organs
3. In order to make a new skeleton, they have pick the skeleton body they want and the magic christal.
4. You can think of crying as the magic in the crystal leaking. (It doesn't do anything to the skeleton.)
5.They have secret houses hidden in the dungeon. They have to touch a certain stone, or move a certain rock.
