Chapter 1 - HISTORY IN MOTION

0110. "The Big Idea"

Two crystals clash in a distant, forgotten universe. One light, the other dark, the only light being the whisps of a previous galactic backdrop long since gone. Many theorists believe it to be an atomically triggered event, others,a force of kind and decisive gods. In all reality,it was simply random.

At the start of this time, much like any planet,Rihhavard was assembled into existence through cosmic chaos set fourth by the young star that was Notheus, and upon the world becoming stable,Notheus himself fell into Rihhavard's atmosphere from the source of his power, which now gently poured light onto the surrounding world.

From the echoes of the chaos at the opposite, cold pole of the world,Herobrai was born. Much like his older brother, yet different,Herobrai was a spark of the destructive primordial elements,an element unseen, and unpredictable. The element of destruction was one of tempting, unrelenting promise to absolute power, corrupting for those unworthy to wield it.

Herobrai, being born with these powers was in his element.

As he began to explore his frosty environment, his energies leeched out into the world, separating the dense snowfall and clearing an icy path in the knee deep snow. For days, months even,Herobrai walked almost aimlessly in numbing solitary silence, the only voices being ones of beckoning to release his restrictions on his powers.

At that same time,Notheus was too learning his powers of creativity and rejuvination. The air rendered him almost weightless, and allowed Notheus to even fly in controlled ways. He erected mountains that could dwarf Everest, made simple, yet complex civilizations, even creating creatures and plants to feed mankind.

Notheus wished to be the god that was there for his subjects, and in doing so has gotten his own religeon, always welcomed by friendly villagers and travellers alike seeking this ancient's wisdom.

0120 "Creation meets Destruction"

Herobrai has been roaming the lands of Rihhavard for years following in the path of his opposite with little effect on his surroundings. At the time Herobrai could be as righteous as a human, simply caring enough to briefly help, and nothing more. Herobrai was certain that what had created all of this world was a being more caring than what anyone could expect.

It almost made the destructive god spiteful in some ways,as anything that wasnt human died to his touch. It was a grating, sanity draining cycle that began to act negatively,as word of Herobrai's existence began to spread over the globe. At first many were indifferent toward the god, sending him on his way when his ministrations for the area were complete.

Some came to rely upon Herobrai for his timing, and many believed that his visits were in time with people moving on into the spiritual plain, and so those that expected him left many gifts of riches and foodstuffs to have Herobrai bless the souls as they left.

Many loathed Herobrai with intensity unmatched,as if he were the bane to all existence. While Herobrai did ignore those that ridiculed him, what they did say didn't go unheard.

"DESTROYER!"

"DEMON!!"

"SOUL REAPER!!"

And all of it drove this being to a brink..

The tempting voices whispered so loudly...

From halfway across the world,Notheus felt an energy unlike anything before. A dark, vacant feeling,as if Notheus were back in the empty void from so many years ago. Disturbed the Ancient began searching in the direction of such a feeling. It made him sick to his stomach, feeling as if something was so wrong it could unravel a delicate existence.

Before too long, mere days after the feeling began, the two gods met in some plains at the foot of a mountain. Notheus' black eyes stared into Herobrai's glowing eyes.

What are you?

What are you?

The simple question they asked each other echoed through the world, becoming the soft whisper of a breeze. They stood there, almost in statuesque manner, silent, staring each other down.

Notheus cleared his throat,putting his hand forward;

My name is Notheus,I am the God of Creation.

Herobrai,The God of Destruction.

Herobrai's voice was cold and low, whispery almost as they shook hands.

Notheus' the opposite, yet still soft spoken.

Flashes of the past and future crossed Notheus' eyes.

-(one day the world will be engulfed by the darkness. Evil will win. The world will shatter at his will.)-

Do you know where you came from?

The Frostlands,it was the first place I woke up.

You must be tired from such a long trip.

It is true that I have grown weary, yes.

Notheus began whispering an enchantment, the ground beneath Herobrai rumbled, and split,as a simple stone house rose from the small fissure.

Come. We have much to discuss.

The gods entered the house,a simple, guest welcoming setup.

So,you're the energy ive been feeling in the world. I suppose it isn't much to assume we awoke at the same time.

Alas I am not surprised you're already so aware of me. Some of your subjects are...less than fond of my presence.

Because you are a walking beacon of energy.

How come I cannot feel you?

Because my energy does not come from me. It is the sun that rests in the sky.

Shame.

Why have you been looking for me?

To ask you why you've made this world, and put me in it.

Herobrine,I cannot control anything beyond this world. You are not of this planet, I didn't create you. The big Idea did.

The...Big Idea..?

Its an event of our primordial elements clashing, which made a spark for existence to catch fire on. Like striking flint and steel together to make fire.

The Great Burning sounds like a better event. Or maybe even the Big Bang.

Humans aren't particularly fond of things that imply fire or explosions. This was easier.

Herobrai rose from his seat.

I wish to make an offer. I want to help you rule this world. So I may be a warrior king readily at your disposal.

Why ask me? I only live here.

Herobrai gestures to the world.

...good point. Well,Herobrai if you wish to rule the world, you must do it my way.

Continue with your terms.

The biggest and only rule, you cannot destroy. Only create. If your elemental energy is anything like it feels, self control is of the utmost importance.

-(You can betray him....steal the power he hides for your own...)-

-(Come join the chaos of the void....Find us.....)-

I accept.

Then from hereon out,you are the god of the night. The forces of nature you control are the darkness, and to create easy monsters for humans to fend off.

Isn't that destructive?

As the Primordials of this world,we must find balance for energy to return and be released. We must create a natural balance.

I see...I agree to your terms.

0130 to 0160 "The Creeping Moss" | "Herobrai's corruption"

The brother gods began weaving a beautiful, dangerous world. Though as time went on,Herobrai was beginning to lose the battle against temptation,he began creating increasingly dangerous, yet easy to fight creatures, many of them a degree of undead, chaotic beings.

Notheus tolerated these creations,as they were sourced from the world, and not of pure elemental energy.

One day,the sound of a blast ripped through the world,it travelled for miles..

Notheus investigated,to find Herobrai at the edge of a massive, smoking crater.

Brother Herobrai?

Yes Notheus?

How was this caused?

One of my latest creations.

Herobrai picks up a small piece of throbbing moss, showing it to Notheus.

How?

Creeping moss is a carrion plant, meaning it feeds off of the dead, and utilizes them as a sense of natural defense. As a natural byproduct,it produces pollen that is disturbingly volitile, something I might call gunpowder.

Brother...This is beyond destructive...do you remember our agreement?

Like the back of my hand, dear brother. A natural order was arranged like you asked.

But this is extreme. What would the humans think of you making such a vile creature?

Forget the humans,Brother. They cannot harm us,nor can they stop us from exercising our own wills upon this world. And so you know, the humans already hate me.

Some do,brother but not all! Do not let their loathing become a product to your wrath.

-(LIAR. LIAR. LIAR.)-

-(SHOW HIM- SHOW THEM ALLL)-

Herobrai emits a soft growl...

Were it so easy....

He simply walked away,dismissing himself.

Notheus was growing worried of his brother's mental condition. He feared that the worst is yet to come. This chaos but a taste...

Herobrai returns to a fortress that he had built, worshippers running to and fro with their normal tasks.

He comes to a room, with a portal gate being made.

-(Complete it...)-

-(Complete the portal oh great god....)-

From a sack,Herobrai pulled out a magical glass eye, which stared at him blankly as he stared down onto the portal frame. 8 other eyes were set in the frame, identical to his own.

He sets the eye in place...

The portal ignited into open space, gently bubbling.

A whispy, dark being steps out,and kneels before Herobrai.

-(Thank you for releasing me from my captivity. I am Treksis, the last of the Endish.)-

The creature crossed its arm over its front.

Now that I have released you, what happens next?

-(I must spread. I cannot speak for long. Explore the void if you dare, but it does not hold much for beings like yourself.)-

Treksis disappears, and Herobrai peers over the edge of the portal. He wades in,sinking deeply before emerging into a place darker than he could have ever imagined..

Such silence....

No light....

Herobrai smiles slightly as he stepped out onto yellow, porous stone.

(Diafra ton eb-)

Huh..?

(Diafra ton eb-)

(Uoy era ohw?)

Herobrine...

(Ecalp elbirroh a ni era uoy)

Why is it horrible here? Its so quiet...and dark.

The voice hums

(Ereh skrul live. Sdnal souregnad era secalp eseht.)

I am a god of destruction. I am the danger

(Nam Tnagorra , ouy emusnoc lliw noitpurroc eht.)

Herobrai began walking away from the voice.

(uoy pleh sdog eht yam.)

Strange...If I didnt know any better he was speaking in reverse...

He aimlessly walked, almost joyfully, the portal emitting enough light to be seen from afar. The graceful silence, the pitch blackness that settled the further away he got from the portal.

At the edge of the portal being in view,a gentle glow began to settle, turning the pitch black into a very dark, dim haze. Shapes could be made out,but not what made them. A figure began to approach Herobrai, becoming slightly womanly. Like Treksis, she was but a shadow.

An energy eminated from her,one familiar to the Element that Herobrai possessed.

Hello there...

The figure looks to him, giving a cheshire-type grin. She poofs into a cloud, and flies over to him.

-(Welcome to the End,Stranger.)-

What is this place?

She emits a light, almost forced chuckle as she lazily laid across the larger being's shoulders.

-(It's our past. And our future. A place where time, rest, thirst and hunger no longer matter to mortals, nor gods like yourself.)-

-(It's a place where the conscious and unconscious meet...)-

So what am I to you?
