Belgium. A Church.
"Let's close our eyes for prayers."
The man in a long white robe said. He had a white collar around his neck. His robe was parted by the sides and you could see the white trouser which hid the color of his thighs.
His shoes were daintily polished and his hair wasn't seen. He had a super long cap on. A cone cap. He was one of the revered Reverend in that part of the world.
At his call, all the members stood up and bowed their heads in prayer. Some raised their hands, and some had one hand up, the other on the chest. As the Spirit led them.
Then the minister led them all in prayers,
"Our heavenly Father, Hallow be thy name. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us these days, the spirit to stand in you and obey your words and teach us to do what is right always that we may be made to be right with you always and forever."
He stopped talking and raised his arms towards the ceiling. The church was quite a big one.
As he raised his hand, the organist fiddled with the keys of the piano in a bid to build an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit.
Then he began to speak as soon as the congregation settled into the wooden but long chairs.
"Brethren, these are very hard times as we all know. The workers of iniquity had taken a delight in the creation of the Most High and seek to plunder it since that's what a thief does. One of the kingdoms of Hades had given an order..."
All the members "hmm'ed" at that. They probably could feel the wave of the Holy Spirit in what the minister was saying.
The minister continued,
"An order inspired by the worker of iniquity, the devil. This is to destroy those who have not known the way. We who have known the way cannot be destroyed. For why shall we be afraid of he who only kills the flesh but has no power over the Spirit?"
He put his hands down and tried to draw a conclusion on his speech,
"Even if we are to be taken by this adversity into the eternal joy, let's not be weary. Even if the machines crush our flesh, let the hymn of glory never depart from our lips because that's what the worker of iniquity wants. Hold fast what you have brethren that no one should take your crown."
He stopped talking and beckoned at the choir master who stepped forward and led them all in the "Lord Lift Me Up" hymn.
The whole congregation was swept off her feet at the call of the choristers.
Point in time, several worshippers began to speak in strange tongues. The Holy Spirit seemed to be at his prime.
Then sooner, things wasn't what it used to be. Unusual movements began to come from outside the church.
Many lost souls began to run into the church. But following these lost souls were the agents of darkness.
The Alien machines.
