The Professor turned to the woman, the mother of Igen, the new queen of Curt. Her face was emotionless and porous. Patience was settled in her face and she looked away from him to the creatures. Then again she looked away from the creatures to him.
"I should ask you that. You seem rather acquainted with them. Speak with them and let us know why they are here. What they want from us and when they would leave."
The Professor was impressed by her swift and thoughtful judgement. He couldn't hide the enthusiasm,
"That was a great choice, her majesty. You impress me."
She didn't smile. She only looked away, giving him a reason to be swift about what he was going to do. The Professor advanced towards the creatures.
The woman was coming behind him. He needed to be frank with her. He said, knowing fully well that she was already closely behind him,
