"Wonderful morning, isn't it?" Avina started. She sat down in front of all the ladies and motioned for everyone to sit down as well.
"Indeed," Ji Fanyin agreed. She smiled and said, "I am so glad to meet you, Empress."
Avina grinned. "As am I, Concubine Ji."
Ji Fanyin lifted her tea cup. "If I may, I would like to pay my respects to you, Empress."
The corners of Avina's mouth curved. She lifted her cup as well and waited for Ji Fanyin.
Ji Fanyin immediately started paying her respects. While holding her cup up, she bowed and said, "Concubine Ji pays her respects to the Empress."
Avina slightly nodded and then sipped her tea.
Ji Fanyin sipped hers as well.
The first respect was paid, and now, it was time for the rest of the concubines to do the same.
