The Annual Solstice Festival was split into two events, the banquet and the competition. Though the festival was designed to celebrate the beginning of fall, people used the opportunity to build bridges and relationships. Naturally, this all happens at the banquet where the powerhouses gather and form alliances.
Avina stared at her hazy image in the mirror. Because of how backward everything was, the only way to see her reflection was on a bronze plate. It wasn't as reflective as an ordinary mirror so all she saw was her blurred-out face and what resembled her figure. But still, Qin Yinling was a beauty and even a blurred outline of who she was was stunning.
Avina was wearing a beautiful lavender-shaded hanfu. The lavender descended down towards the skirt where it converged with blue fabric. Blooming lotuses were embroidered throughout the bottom layers of the skirt and with every movement she made, the lotus moved along with the waves of the water.
