There was some juicy gossip right in front of her. How could she dare to decline?
Avina tilted her head and innocently said, "You two sound like you've got history with each other.
When Vatoly turned around to look at her, she only batted her eyes and smiled. Vatoly sighed and shook his head. He placed the paper on the table and sat down on the bed.
"We go back a long time ago," he began saying. His voice was mundane but Avina didn't care; she earnestly listened. "Fitzer and I were classmates. We were the top 2 in our class. Of course, I was number 1."
Vatoly curved his lips into a smirk. Avina rolled her eyes. She could've sworn she saw his nose growing along with his arrogance!
"We were competing in a competition just like this one. I was winning by tens of points. I was sure I was the winner."
Vatoly frowned. He hit the bed while he snarled out, "But Fitzer used his connections and changed the last competition, and I lost."
