When a manservant passed by bringing a platter of drinks, Avina reached out and grabbed one. Her eyes followed their figures as she swished through the crowd, one person at a time.
Avina tilted the glass and sipped the red liquid. A sweet, intoxicating taste washed down her throat, relieving the parchness she felt. It dyed her lips a tempting pink and made them moist and plump.
