If Avina took the time to notice, she would have found out that everything had spiraled out of control. From the moment she had gotten her healing abilities to recruiting Quin into their group, everything was shifting out of control. Now even the plan to be in Jasper's good graces has changed.
Even this brief moment of meeting Vanty early had changed everything. Avina was adamant about stealing Jasper's every golden finger and leaving him in the dust. She personally witnessed the extremes of his personality and in a petty way, she wanted to take a li'l vengeance. If Jasper's purpose as a male lead was to finish the apocalypse, then hers was to be the villain who would steal his limelight. In a way, she was the same in the plot as she was right now.
