Vanty spent a brief time looking at the massacre in front of her. Her eyes were clouded with a dull light, darkening the soulless pits within. She neither smiled nor frowned, only expressing the utmost level of indifference.
"Come on," she said. Vanty turned around and looked at the two grieving children. A faint smile sparked in the richest of her lips but faded soon after. "We gotta leave."
Vanty took the first steps past the corpses, making sure that none of the ashes sullied her shoes. She tiptoed and stretched her arms outwards, wobbling with each step. Funnily, she looked like a penguin braving through a snowstorm.
