Avina's eyes fluttered open to the blank white space. The dull pain in her heart gradually disappeared until she was apathetic to her surroundings. She felt like a positionable doll who didn't know what to do other than stare blankly at the space.
"Host?" 5025 called out. Its voice was laced with concern, worried for her lack of a reaction.
Hearing 5025, Avina turned around and pulled up a crooked smile. It was forced with the corners barely upturned, but to 5025 who was genuinely worried, it was comforting. At least its Host could still hear it.
