Slowly, her sight came back to her. She was no longer in the classroom, helpless, but in Luciv's office. Her hand was still stretched out in the form of gripping a sandwich, but the sandwich had long fallen to the ground.
Luciv, although focused on his work, was well aware of the happenings in his surroundings. When Avina dropped her sandwich, he paused his writing and glanced at her. Like a frozen doll, she sat there with her hands outstretched with dazed eyes. Worried, he walked up from his desk to her side.
When her eyes regained clarity, the first thing Avina saw was the figure of Luciv walking closer. His brows were wrinkled with worry while his hand slowly stretched towards her. Stopping only an inch away from her, he looked at her.
"Are you okay?" Luciv squatted by her side as he used his hand to wave in front of her face.
Avina quickly snapped out of her daze. "I'm alright. I just-"
