Sunlight poured into the room like a flashlight against the dark. A man stood beside the balcony window garbed only in a loose bathrobe with his hands on his hips. He sighed before rubbing his temples with his fingers. Visible frustration and annoyance could be heard in his voice and actions.
"Are you joking with me?"
He turned towards the woman sitting on the bed in the middle of the room. She had her head lowered making him unable to see her face. Only her hands on her lap could be seen to be twisting and turning.
She licked her dry lips before finding her voice. "I'm not."
"Why do you want to break up, Liu Yang?" Zhang Wei finally asked. His voice slowly grew louder until it echoed against the walls.
Liu Yang lifted her head. Instead of the fear and startled look Zhang Wei was expecting, her eyes contained a resolute glow filled with determination.
