Avina stared dumbfounded at the man who was seriously considering acting against Liu Yang. Although Avina could not say for certain she was a good person in all aspects, she had never considered hiring people for revenge. It would be the fastest route to revenge since, currently, she had the money and status to do so, but it never crossed her mind.
To Avina, immediate pain was different from slow pain. Rather than punishing someone for their actions at the moment, she would wait it out until they realize how their actions trapped them. If someone took the last cookie, Avina would wait until she had a lot of cookies and not share them. They may have taken one cookie, but now she had more than one and they wouldn't get a single cookie. The regret of taking the last one would sink in because eating a single cookie at the time couldn't possibly compare to eating more than one cookie in the future.
