Something clicked in Richard's mind. Maybe it was because he snapped the puzzle together or the mere fact that being in a brothel could only mean one thing, but he finally figured out what Avina meant.
At the realization, he burst out in laughter. One hand covering his mouth and the other supporting himself on the table, he could not hold in his laughter anymore.
Avina was staring at him flabbergasted. Is it really that weird to not want to spend any time with someone from a brothel?
"What's so funny?" Avina asked. "Is there something wrong with not wanting to spend the night with someone?"
Between his wheezing laughter, he managed to say, "I didn't mean we were doing that. I just meant we'd be enjoying their blood."
Avina's mind blanked at the realization. He was not inviting her for some scandalous fun with body meshing, but some bloodsucking action. But even that she did not want to do!
