Avina did her servitude well. All that Livida ordered, Avina fulfilled through perfection. Even without curry favoring like the other maids, she was able to gain the trust and favor of Livida. It seemed anyone who was smart enough would appreciate a smart maid.
"You have been serving me for almost a whole moon rotation," Livida called out one day. "Is there a reward you'd like to have?"
Avina bowed down and refused, "No, there is no reward I need. All that I do does not need a reward."
"Surely you jest," Livida laughed. "Just tell me what you want."
Avina was about to refuse once again. The best maid was obviously a humble maid, but she caught a glimpse of Livida's eyes.
Her eyes were filled with speculation and questions. If Avina did not catch the smallest glimpse of it, she would have never seen it. And now, she had to change her answer.
"Then, please," Avina switched her reply. "I would like the day off on the day of the full moon."
