The Madam turned her head around and looked at Rebecca. Her eyes were wide open in shock and her calm facade could barely hold itself together anymore. Luckily, she had a reliable daughter to express her reaction.
"Her!? The one who got our meal late!?" Lily shouted out. There was still food in her mouth and it flew all over the table as she talked. She pointed her fork at Rebecca unable to understand how a maid like her was the one her brother wanted.
Richard frowned at his sister's lack of table manners. He swept whatever remaining sandwich slobber off his body in utter disgust. Grabbing a napkin, he carefully wiped his hands.
"Watch it. You're getting your sandwich all over me," he said to Lily.
"Well, if you didn't give me such a fright maybe you wouldn't have to deal with my sandwich mouth," Lily retorted. "Besides, even mother is shocked."
