A whole day in the company of friends had done Myra a world of good. She forgot all her troubles and lost herself in music. She hummed her favourite strains as the window glass rolled down a little to let in the cool breeze. Aman loved this carefree Myra by his side. All-day long she had amused him. How refreshing it was to be with her. To him, this was a glimpse of what life would be like with her by his side. He knew it would be a long and bitter fight but he was determined to fight for her. He will not let go of her, no matter what.
"I am going back tomorrow." – he said in a calm voice. Her heart jolted to a thundering stop. His going away was like death to her. She froze and her silence scared him.
"Something important has come up which needs immediate attention." – he explained
Tears rolled down her eyes. Her hands, her heart and her senses were all quivering. "Don't go" she pleaded, "Please do not go."
