Mom Lu was a bit surprised and glanced at Lu Weixi. Lu Weixi remained calm.
That engagement had made the hot search, but Lu Weixi had been prepared. She first instructed the caregiver to monitor her mother's condition and to prevent her from seeing certain news if possible. The next day, after Cai Yiren moved into the Qin Family home with much fanfare, she also visited the hospital. Mom Lu thought she was just there to keep her company and didn't think too much of it, not realizing Lu Weixi had specifically come to ensure she was unaware of Cai Yiren and Qin Zhizha's engagement, for fear it might disturb her emotions.
Lu Weixi merely snorted softly, "As far as I know, you and Qin Zhizha haven't even registered your marriage or held a wedding ceremony. It's just an engagement for now. Who knows if your marriage will actually happen? Could there be some unforeseen changes?"
