The butler answered truthfully, "Mister, Madame went out after you left for your morning jog."
After hearing this, Mu Beiting pursed his thin lips, and he asked with an impassive expression, "Where did she go?"
The butler replied, "Madame said that she had gone out to find a house for her parents. She said that she wouldn't be back for lunch at noon or dinner at night."
Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting ended the conversation, picked up his chopsticks, and gracefully began to eat his breakfast.
Today, however, Mu Beiting ate much less than usual. After having a bowl of porridge, he went upstairs.
The butler looked at the breakfast that had barely been touched, and his eyes looked completely confused.
Why did he think that because Madame wasn't there, he'd had no appetite?
But Madame had never eaten breakfast together with her husband. Why would the master lose his appetite just because his wife was absent?
