Charlotte's POV
Ever since that day, this guy, James Greenwood, has been frequently coming to the cafe where I work which is good considering the fact that he's rich. But sometimes I feel like there's a hidden agenda 'cause how can a guy who is known worldwide to be the most powerful and also a workaholic comes to a cafe regularly and stays for hours.
I did some research about him and all I can say is he's super rich and a big womanizer.
I went to pick my baby sister from school after work today. I saw my sister already waiting for me.
"Hey, Bella" I called her.
"Char, you were late." She said pouting.
"I'm sorry baby, it's work." I told her.
"I forgive you." I love this girl so much.
"Ok baby let's go home." I told her.
We left her school and headed home. I couldn't help but feel like we were being followed. I tried to shake it off but the feeling kept coming.
"Are you okay?" Bella asked me.
"Um...yes. Why'd you ask?" I asked her back.
"You were looking around the street." She said.
"Oh. It's nothing." I told her.
We kept walking until we reached our apartment. I sighed, the feeling was still there.
We entered our one room apartment and went to freshen up. We ate dinner which is stale bread, I can't afford to buy a normal dinner.
Tonight, I'm having a night out with Clara. She thinks I'm lagging behind when it comes to anything social which is true and to be honest I don't give a shit.
After dinner, I took my sister to our neighbour next door. She's a middle age woman who loves kids. Ever since we started living here, she has been so good to us. She lives alone because her husband is dead and she has no child.
I knocked the door and waited for her to open the door.
"Coming." She said from inside.
She opened the door for us and let us in.
"Good evening, Mrs. Wilmington." I greeted her.
"How many times I've I told you not to call me that?" She scolded.
"Ok, Lillian." I said
"More like it." She said.
"Hey, Bella. How're you?" She greeted Bella.
"I'm fine." Bella answered.
"So, what brings you here this evening." She asked me.
"I'm going out with a friend tonight. Can Bella stay with you, please?" I asked her.
"Of course, she can stay here anytime." She said.
"Thanks" I appreciated her.
"Goodbye, Bella. Be good to Lillian, okay?"
"Okay" she said.
I left her apartment to hers and quickly get dressed since Clara will be here any moment from now. I chose a black shirt on a light blue jeans.
I heard the doorbell rang and went to open the door. I saw my best friend smiling. She was wearing a wine red V-neck short dress.

"Hey babe, are you ready for tonight?" She asked excitedly.
I rolled my eyes at her.
"Do I really have to go?" I tried to change her mind.
"Don't start now. You are going, period." She said.
"Fine" I said.
"Please, don't tell me this is what you want to wear." She said.
"What's wrong with it?" I asked.
"Babe, you are wearing a dress not this." She said and went towards my wardrobe.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Finding you a dress." She answered.
She rummaged through my wardrobe while I just kept looking at her.
"This one is better." She held out a sleeveless short rose gold dress that Mrs. Wilmington gift to me last year Christmas.

I changed into the dress, Clara did my makeup 'cause she insisted and we left the apartment. We waited for a cab.
"So where are we going?" I asked her.
"We are going to a club, girl." She answered feeling excited.
"And what's with the excitement?" I asked again.
"You need a break from everything and you probably need to get laid as well." She said.
"I wonder why this is all about me." I told her.
"You know why, you need to live." She said.
The feeling that someone was following me came back. I looked around but didn't see anything unusual, everyone was minding their business. I'm just being paranoid.
The cab came and we went to wherever we are going.
We arrived at the club and paid the driver and went inside. The music was booming loud, it was almost impossible to hear. There were a lot of people in the club, most were dancing and the place smelled of sweat and alcohol. I wanted to turn back but one look from Clara, I knew I can't escape this.
We passed through the people that were dancing and went to the bar.
"Two vodkas, please." Clara said to the barman.
The barman gave us our drink and winked at me.
Eww. What's wrong with him.
I sipped my drink and I felt my throat burn.
"What is this?" I asked Clara.
"That's an alcoholic drink." She told me.
"Ugh. I can't believe I'm doing this." I said.
We continued to drink and I felt so much better. My worries were slowly fading. The world looks like it's spinning.
"This is good." I grinned.
"Yeah. Let's go and dance." She said.
We went to the dance floor and started dancing to the song.
After a while, a guy came to flirt with Clara. We kept dancing and then they were gone. I left the dance floor and went to the bar.
"Give me another drink." I said to the barman.
"You sure you can handle another drink?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure." I said.
He gave me another drink. I drank it in one gulp. I went to search for my friend but I couldn't find her and then someone bumped into me spilling their drink on my body. I looked up to see the person and met with green eyes. I've seen those before but I couldn't remember.
"Hey you, watch where you are going." I yelled at the stranger.
He looked at me and left. He couldn't even say sorry. Rude...
I went to the restroom to clean up. The place was empty. I was about to leave when someone entered the restroom and sprayed something at my face. I felt my head spinned and then I collapsed. But before that, I couldn't help but think of who would want to kill me.
