After reading the book again i still had nothing to do i decided to check the time and saw it was 3pm mom should be on her way right now and Alexa should be awake maybe i should call her.
Going to my room to take my phone i stepped on something which made me halt in my steps and i crouched down to check what it was i stepped on,it was a bracelet engraved with my name
I tried to remember where i got it from am not really sure though i will ask my mom when she comes back yes that's what i will do,i stood up and put the bracelet in my pocket before heading to my room
On the first ring Alexa picked up my call her voice sounding happy as ever i wander what made her happy "hey guess what?" she asked being the curious person i am i asked "what?"
She started squealing which made me become more curious as to what was making her happy and unconciously a smile came to my face "i dreamt i got married to Brad Pitt"
Immediately when i heard that my smile dropped "are you serious?" i asked and she shouted a loud yes which made me face palm how can she be this dumb though?
Deciding to keep my thoughts to my self i asked "so did you just wake up?" she hummed in a thinking way before answering me "actually no i woke up an hour ago why?" Oh i see "Its nothing i was just asking"i replied
We kept talking about things like our plan to take Margaret out with us, it would really be nice and besides i miss the way i and Margaret used to be close after Ethan's death i haven't treated her the same so i want to make it up to her with the help of Alexa .
"Its settled then this weekend me,you and Margaret are gonna have fun" Alexa beamed which made me chuckle "yeah sure" i replied "okay then i have to go am really hungry talk to you later" "By—" i didn't even get to finish my goodbye before she ended the call typical Alexa.
I looked at the time and it was 5pm and am pretty sure by this time mom would have been home but she isn't which is making me worry alot more than i should
I decided to call her and before it could ring the door opened which revealed my mom and Kyle? i mean what was he doing here ,none of them seemed to notice my presence since i was inside so i decided to show myself.
"Mom why are you just coming by this time?" i asked her pretending i didn't notice Kyle's presence before i turned to him acting suprised to see him "Kyle? what are you doing here?"
Kyle seemed really suprised to see me "you live here?" i cocked an eyebrow at his question about to reply him biut mom interrupted us by clearing her throat "do you two know eachother?" she asked "yes" we spoke at the same time then made eye contact with eachother before smiling at each other
"yes mom i know him this is the Kyle i was telling you about" i told her "Really!" she exclaimed "Wow he's such a fine man you didn't tell me he was this attractive" Kyle chuckled at her statement while i face palmed myself my mom really just had to say that
"actually i get that alot but your daughter doesn't seem to think the same" he looked at me then winked my mouth hung open at the statement he just said i cant believe he just said that "is that true?" my mom asked me which made me close my mouth
Deciding to change the topic " Kyle why don't you give me the groceries so i can drop it inside" i told him "no just tell me where i should drop it and i will drop it there okay !" well if that's what he wants to do and besides i feel too lazy to carry the groceries so i just told him the direction of the kitchen and he left
Turning to my mom "how did you meet Kyle?" i asked her still wondering how they met ,she then smiled before saying "actually i forgot to put money in my purse before i left for the supermarket so when i was about to pay at the check out i didn't see my money in my purse" she took a deep breath before continueing "it was honestly embarrassing thank goodness the cashier didn't notice my distress, but i guess someone else noticed it that was the person at my back i didn't know how he did it but he paid for my groceries i was so thankful i told him i was going to pay him back but he disagreed but i convinced him to come over just for me to treat him to dinner he wanted to decline the offer but i used my charms so this was how we got here"
My respect for Kyle just skyrocketed i didn't know he had this much humanity in him as i was about to talk Kyle came in "i've dropped it guess i will be going now see ya stacy" "no don't go"me and my mom shouted at the same time then my mom cleared her throat "i promised to treat you to dinner since you insisted you didn't want the money back and if you don't i will like am indebted to you" he sighed before nodding "you could go sit on the couch" i told him which he did.
"mom let me help prepare dinner"i was about to go to the kitchen but my mom stopped me "Oh no you will keep our kind guest company okay and besides you are familiar with eachother so why not"she whispered then left for the kitchen well i guess she had a point
I went to sit on the couch opposite to the one Kyle sat on "thanks for helping my mom even if you didn't know she was my mom"i thanked him ,he just gave a warm smile showing his deep and cute dimples which looks alot like his son's "Its fine honestly there is no need to thank me" he is so nice and sweet
I decided to change the topic and asked how Edward was doing and I also asked about Alexa from there we talked about random things like work while we were still in the middle of our conversation mom walked in and announced that dinner was ready "great i was actually starving" Kyle breath out " wait I thought you were in a hurry to leave earlier" i teased he just rolled his eyes at me then stood up and headed to the dining table which made me chuckle and I also followed into the dining table I sat beside my mom while Kyle sat opposite us
While we were eating dinner mom was asking Kyle some questions which made me duck my head in embarrassment i mean why would she ask if he was single but he didn't seem to be uncomfortable with her questions though,he answered it with enthusiasm.
After dinner Kyle immediately announced that he was leaving mom tried to make him stay a little bit but i told her not to because of Edward which she understood, we bid him goodnight and he told me he would text me when he gets home am glad i met someone like him
