"The Demons were hungry... Hungry for blood. Many people tried to kill them... they used everything they had but all was in vain...."

There was a king who once thought to check the meteorite with all his army in command. He commanded his army to cut open the meteorite. His army was scared to fight the demons....

One of the scared soldier said " They are invincible!! Even if we cut their heads they will still live-

" Our goal is not to fight the demons but to reach the meteorite. Don't be scared my dear army, I will protect you with my everything "

After saying this the king caressed his beloved kitsune (fox).

"Long Live the king !!"

"Long Live Nagaizumi !!"

The army proceeded towards the meteorite but.... something was awkward. The place near the meteorite was deserted. There was no one around, not even a single soul could be seen.

The king thought it was a nice opportunity to check the meteorite. He commanded his army to move forward. Everyone was in relief that there was no demon around.

Everyone started walking without fear... then suddenly the ground started shaking. Everyone was puzzled what was happening.

"Aaaahhh"

"What on the...!!!"

The ground was split opened. For a second everyone thought it might be an earthquake but no!! it was not. Demon hands started coming from the cracks. The demons started to pull the soldiers. Everyone panicked and started to attack the demons. The king was unknown about the demons as he was walking straight towards the meteorite. As he reached the meteorite he looked back and everything was in chaos. His army was shattered by the demons. He heard a cracked voice. He looked towards from where the voice was coming.

"Was...this all.. for nothing?... We lost our everything... our family... our friends.... for nothing?...." a wounded soldier said.

"NO ! I will not let my army die for nothing" the king said with firmed eyes.

The king proceeded towards the meteorite with heavy steps he took out his katana and strike the meteorite with all his force. The meteorite split up in half and a bright ray of light shot up.

"The king was given with 13 elemental powers. Only those powers can kill the demons. He turned those powers into the 13 Kitsune masks-".

"Teacher, what were those powers exactly ?"

"The powers are -

Kaze – Wind

Chikyu – Earth

Kasai – Fire

Kawa – River

Tengoku – Heaven

Sanda – Thunder

Yama – Mountain

Kukan – Void

Seishin – Spirit

Jikan – Time

Mori – Forest

"So this is all for today's class. See you in the next semester. Do not forget to submit your work before you go"

After saying this the teacher leaves the class.

"Anyways we will never be able to find out those masked heroes you know.."

"ya.. you are right Lily...i don't know if we can even be able to use those powers..Aaa life is so boring..man.!!"

"Let me sleep!! you jerks!!" said a boy with his head down on the table looking lifeless.

"ya ya you sleep. What you only do is sleep all the time anyways Shinjiro"

Lily says " you both just shut up!! I am still thinking of an excuse to give to our homeroom teacher about our homework...!"

Danial says with a smirk on his face "oh please! we both know that you already completed it years ago.."

"Okay, i guess i can't sleep anymore. I am going fishing with my father he might be waiting for me by now." Shinjiro said while walking towards the door . He Peeked inside through the window " and ya i need to submit my homework too".

Danial" you...you!! betrayer!! buuu... am i the only one who had not done anything yet!!"

In the evening

By the bank of the river shinjiro was walking to his home.

"ahh ahu hahua" a child was crying at the side and was looking towards the other side of the river.

"Hey kid! why are you crying? what happened?"

"My..my toy..*sniff*..is stuck on that *sniff* branch..."

He saw the toy which was hanging on the branch beside the river on the other side. The flow of the river was normal as usual. He put down his bag and jumped down in the river.

*splash*

He grabbed the toy and was about to reach the other side when suddenly a hand grabbed his leg. The hand started pulling him down in the river. When he looked down he saw two bloody eyes shining hungrily at him. The demon was biting his leg.

*Aaahh*

*swish* A heavy wind cut through the demon's head. The demon drowned in the river. Shinjiro sighed with relief. He swim to the back of the river.

"Are you trying yourself to get eaten by the demon? what were you doing?" A man wearing a wind kitsune asked.

"Who are you?"

"I should be asking you the same thing, no?"

"I was trying to get the toy for the kid"

"For who? There is no one around here. You are 14 or so years old and still play with toys?"

"I was just-(Where is that kid?)"

"Go home kid, It's going to be dark soon"

"By the way thank you for sa-" There was no when when he turned around." Now i should go home dad must be angry"

Shinjiro run towards his home. He opened the door...

*thud* He dropped the bag and a tear fell from his eye.
