"I miss you, Parker," I whisper into my phone. Wishing I could breathe in his scent for comfort. "I miss you too, babes," Parker responds. After assaulting and running away from the Hulk, I was on a quest for my shoes. Luckily I found them. However, I loss the way to my dad's house, but I still have my phone.
Therefore, when I texted my mom, 'I'm safe.' She responded with, 'I'm going to kill you. Literally, run you over then electrocute you back to life'. Yea, at least I know where I get my humor from.
Eventually, after hours of walking, I found my dad's house, but couldn't muster up the confidence to walk in like I didn't care. So instead I called my ex-boyfriend, Parker.
However, Parker being Parker fed my ego with admiring words and honestly made me realize why I needed him to stay in my life.
"I wish you were here Parks you should've seen his kids face when they saw me it's as if he forget to mention I existed," I say as I watch the sun go down peacefully.
"I wish I could, but you know how my mom feels about the states since we've moved, and as for his kids, I'm sure they knew about you just were surprised," he says in his soothing tone.
But just know I love you babes, and you'll always be special to me goodnight," Parker says.
"Night Parks," I sniff as I wipe away a single tear.
I haven't cried since the night Parker told me he was moving to Europe with his mom. Hence why we broke up. Long-distance didn't seem smart. Especially since it's senior year and right after we both leave for different colleges. Stupid or smart, It was the right decision to make.
However, it still sucks not being able to see him, but at least we still talk.
" Max, you better not runaway mut," the sassy voice known as Sophia spoke as she walked out of the house. I don't know if she saw me, but if she did, she sure as hell didn't acknowledge it. So I hid. And by hid, I stuffed my face into my hoodie.
"Hey, Mason, right?" Sophia questions as she and Max sit down on the curb beside me. Okay, maybe she did see me. Or I'm just horrible at hiding.
" Yea," I say, uncovering my face from the hoodie.
"Smoke?" she questions, holding the lung killer towards me.
I remember the day my uncle asked me if I wanted to try a cigarette. I can already see my mom's reaction. However, due to my six-year-old curios mind, I said 'yes.' In result lead to me watching numerous documentaries about the problems that occur when you do smoke. Never again.
" I don't-,"
"Smoke? I figured," she says, lighting the lung killer in between her lips.
"Daniel is your brother, right?"
"Correction, he was my brother," I say, looking up towards the sky. He still is a sensitive topic to talk about. However, I rarely talk about him to avoid the emptiness of his presence left in my heart.
"He's an ass you know,"
" Daniel?" I say confusion laced in my tone.
"No, your dad. He um. I always spoke about you and Daniel. He would say random things about your brother and you. Like they were memories that he memorized word from word but what bothered me is that he never tried to contact Daniel or you until he proposed to my mom of course,"
It's disappointing, but no matter how much an ass he is at least he's trying," she says. Due to the far look in Sophia's eyes, I could tell she was speaking from experience or the disappointment because it revealed itself.
"What do you mean?" I question. The sadness was evident on Sophia's face.
However, Sophia covered the sad expression on her face as she flicked the ash off the tip of her cigarette. Standing up she crushed the cigarette into the ground. Sophia extends her hand out for me to grab.
"At the end of the day, his mistakes are his. Let him live with it, but just know now you don't have to go through it alone. Because you now have a sister. Who's willing to fuck anybody up if they ever come near to hurting you. Including your asshole of a dad." she says sincerely.
As hesitant as I felt, I knew taking Sophia's in my hand felt like a risk, but I was surely ready to take it. Pulling me into a bone-crushing hug. As a result, it lead to my cheek being pressed upon her oddly perfect-sized boobs.
However, it felt nice to have someone care. Especially that someone being my sister.
"Now first thing I have to walk this mut. Sophia says, pointing to Max with a disgusted look on her face.
" But, right after we're gonna march in that house, eat dinner, then get our asses all cute and sexy and attend the senior spring bonfire," Sophia squeals.
"The what?" I question.
"Oh, yeah, I forgot to tell you your spending your spring break with me!" Sophia exclaims.

"I don't think I can fit into this," I lie.
Okay, I lied. The dress fit, but it sure looked like it didn't. The spaghetti straps look like they were two shrugs away from snapping. I could barely walk forward.
However, Sophia was Instinet on me wearing either the dress or the blue booty shorts.
Therefore, I choose the dress. I rather not have to explain my scar. Not yet, at least.
"You look beautiful!" Sophia exclaims, jumping up and down.
Her personality is exciting, but I like it.
"Don't ever play yourself," I reply, trying to cover my scar.
" We're not finish," Sophia says, dragging me to her vanity.
"Now let's do your hair and makeup," Sophia says, grinning ear to ear.

A whole nap later, Sophia finally finishes my makeup and hair. Which I had to admit did look really good. My chestnut brown hair was styled in a messy bun with few curly strands falling down the sides of my ear.
As for my makeup, I was surprised it looked natural except for the crimson-colored lipstick that complimented my lips, making them look kissable.
However, I convinced Sophia to let me wear the cream-colored sweater dress with the exception of no tights under.
"Wow, Sophia, your really good at this," I say admiring the artwork done to my face.
"Thanks!" Sophia says, walking out the bathroom, looking like a goddess.
Sophia looked crazy hot. Her dark brown hair flowed in loose waves down her back. The black cocktail dress fitted dangerously around her hips and below. However, the gold earrings and rings on her ears and fingers made her outfit pop.
"Sophia, are you sure we're not overdressed," I say wiping the sweat from palms on my dress.
"Oh, honey, if anything were underdressed, you'll see," Sophia says, walking up behind me, she holds my shoulders in her hands.
"Now you look incredibly hot, but most of all, you need to relax and let go of this unneeded stress, okay," Sophia says, squeezing my shoulders for comfort.
I nod, letting Sophia's words soak in.
"Now, let's go party and get shit wasted!' Sophia exclaims, throwing her hands in the air.
