Assistant Yuan's eyes shone. He understood now what his boss meant. "If the San Jin company made a mistake and we don't reconcile easily, then they will have no choice but to chase us. We can then take advantage of it through the deal."
Javier continued reading the files. "That's right. So turn it down first."
Assistant Yuan nodded, but then he thought. "But what if they find another prospective partner other than us?"
"They won't. The profit they predicted is based off using the latest MR chip technology. Who is the top manufacturer of MR chip technology in the country?"
"...Our company, of course." They were the ones who developed the latest version of MR chip technology.
"There might be other MR chip manufacturers, but the steady supply lines, market chain, research and development facilities, and other core factors… Our company have the best of them in the market in one bag. They are not fools. They will not settle for less."
Based on the past deals that SanJin Group made, they only signed deals where they made sure to get every top quality piece fitted in the puzzle. That was what made them successful in the past years.
"They might have a bad attitude, but they are undeniably excellent here." Javier tapped on his temples.
Assistant Yuan nodded. He knew what to do now.

On the other side, Assistant Hu finally received an e-mail reply.
[Good day. We would like to thank the SanJin company for inviting us for a meal. Unfortunately, Mr. Tan already has an important appointment which he is unable to cancel that day. I hope that you understand.]
Assistant Hu: ….Lo and behold!
This was the first time that a dinner invitation from their boss was rejected.
Assistant Hu sent an e-mail back.
[We understand. We would like to apologize again regarding the last appointment. Ms. Chu has an urgent matter to attend to that day, I hope that Mr. Tan understands. To make amends, we would like to extend an invitation depending on Mr. Tan's next available schedule.]
At the Tan Headquarters, Assistant Yuan made a 'meh' expression in front of his computer. He turned to his boss.
"They are adamant on inviting you to a meal. Should I continue rejecting them?"
"Yes. Don't be soft. Tell them that I am disappointed badly."
So Assistant Yuan replied back.
[Once again, thank you for the offer. However, Mr. Tan is saddened by the missed appointment that day as he had pushed back several important appointments for it. We now have to placate and make it up to our partners, thus, our schedule is filled. Our company's motto is to treat time preciously. We strictly adhere to our company's principles. I hope you do not take offense, but asking our partners to wait for an entire hour is considered an insult to our company principles and affects the company culture negatively.]
Assistant Hu was stumped when he saw the reply.
'In other words, they are saying that they feel insulted when the boss missed the appointment without a notice, and is now unwilling to meet us.'
"Why do they even have to involve their company's principles..."
He was just inviting their boss, Mr. Tan, for a meal.
"What is the matter?" Secretary Jane came in with the box of food. It was lunchtime, yet her colleague was still working. "Let's eat first."
Assistant Hu saw the box of cooked fresh seafood. This fresh seafood was from the famous chef of the Chu Mansion.
He licked his lips. "Give the other box to the boss."
Since the other side did not want to meet them now, then he could not force them. He could just try again later.
For now, lunch!
Secretary Jane entered the office to send the lunchbox in. She soon came back to their station.
The two ate lunch with relish, their eyes curving up at the delicious delicacy.
On the other side at Tan's headquarters, Assistant Yuan looked at the screen.
After a while, he smiled with a proud look.
"Hah. They must have been brainstorming on what to say. Boss, you are right. I did not expect that we can take advantage of it that way."
Javier did not answer and just continued working.
Assistant Yuan also continued working, completely forgetting that it was lunch break.
