Gloria was scared and nodded with shivering body she knows Mercedes taboo and scared she bluff her tongue without thinking. She blame herself for her foolish tongue.
When they reached Merce mansion, Mercedes get off the car at the gate and told her driver to go and dropped Gloria to her house.
She then entered her home where her parents was already waiting for her at the door. Her mother Wellcome her with a hug and lead her inside.
Her dad touched her head and smile " how was your day baby girl ".
Mercedes smile and said " I enjoyed a lot dad, now I'm fully tired I want to take a rest"
Her parents chuckle " okay baby you go to rest early, from tomorrow you have to join your office work again ".
" and I am free " laughs her dad.
Mercedes wail " Dad you are so mean" she pouted.
"okay okay, baby girl you go and rest good night honey" he kissed her cheeks.
"Goodnight mom, goodnight dad "Mercedes then climbed upstairs to her room.
Reaching her bedroom she took a quick shower and went to sleep.
The next day, when she join her work again she felt frustrated and tired looking at the pile of files on the table waiting for her attention. She slump on her seats and sigh, taking a deep breath she press the button on the chair.
Within five minutes her PA came in with a cup of her favorite hot chocolate, Gloria look at her friend who's pouting she chuckled" back to your demon mood my sweaty it's time for your meeting ".
Mercedes groans and take a sip of her drinks, she stares at the files and said " prepare in 15 minutes " Gloria nodded and left the room.
Mercedes didn't waste her time she busy herself with the paper work on her table.
After fifteen minutes her secretary knock on her door and came in " president the meeting is ready*"
Mercedes hummed and put aside her work and stood up, she walk to her private elevator leading to the conference room. On reaching the conference room she saw her employees standing on their place, she grind and walk to her seat.
When she sat down all her employees sat down as well.
Then her PA walk to the front and said " group A you can started with your presentation, you got only 5 minutes each please take your time ".
When Gloria left and start the projector, then one candidate from group A walk forward and demonstrate their presentation. No one dare to make a sound seeing their president focus her eyes on the screen. They felt their bodies starts forming cold sweat they prayed in their hearts to not make any mistake but as they were all praying silently.
Mercedes slammed the table hard which gives everyone a racing hearts they jolted up in their seats, they feel shivers to their spine, no one dares to breathe they look down and fold their hands tightly.
Mercedes then snapped at them " what kind of work was that, did I pay you all to give me a rubbish work, did you take it as a charity company here, what have you all done during my absence it's been a month and you all slacks off, " she gritted her teeth in anger, she tore up all the files and throw on the floor she slammed her hand again on the table .
Gloria gulp and stand still she didn't dare make a noise.
" get out all of you, stupid fools bring me a good work in 10 minutes if not prepared for your resignation " with that she left the room with an angry face.
When she left the room, all her employees have a sight of relieved, they quickly gather up their mind and rushed out to finish their jobs or their devil boss will eat them.
Meanwhile, at Edmond office his PA was standing at the room with his head downwards, while Edmond was reading the file on various projects that Mercedes had a sight on , smirking he laughed coldly and said " prepare my schedule with the president of Diamond enterprise, right now ".
His PA nodded and left quickly, Edmond smirk and grinning from ear to ear ", I'll take whatever you have my girl , I would let you know what it mean to be my enemy" he then continue laughing coldly which send shivers to the people who hear his crazy laughter.
