Chapter 26 - The memories of the kiss

Thea was holding onto him like it was her lifeline as he prepared to drive to the La Roche Mansion, but he was unable to free himself from her hold because she was sitting on his lap in the driver's seat and making him uncomfortable.

Every time Erick attempted to remove her hand from his body, Thea would whine and cry, feeling helpless, living for 8 years at the army barracks with only men surrounding him. Erick has little expertise in coaxing a crying woman, how much more in her intoxicated state, having no heart to wake her up.

Erick made the choice to bring her to his residence.

After bringing Thea to his bed, time passed, but Erick remained confused. He kept hearing Thea's last words as she dozed off in his head, and since they had only met the day before, he was frightened that she could possibly fall in love with him.

Especially when he saw on the entertainment news, how she announced to the media how she hates their engagement during her birthday party, which was also personally witnessed by Erick's colleagues who attended the party.

Did he forget already? What changed her? Erick immediately brushes away the unwanted idea, as the face of Thea's charming smile flashes on his mind and smiles on his thoughts.

Because Erick admits that he felt at ease around Thea and decided to keep their relationship going regardless of how she behaved before.

In addition to the passionate kiss they shared. It might be considered an accident and might forget about it when she wakes up, but to Erick, the sweet taste of Thea's lips is still lingering in him wanting to have another taste of its honey-like sweetness.

It's addictive.

Erick sighed as he observed the woman dozing peacefully on his bed, seemingly unconcerned that she was sleeping on a man's bed. He softly tucked a strand of Thea's hair behind her ear as he gingerly sat down on the corner of the bed, scared to wake her up.

"Thea, you are only allowed to drink excessively while I am around."

As he went down to kiss Thea on the forehead, Erick tucked the blanket to her neck, creating a wrinkle between her eyebrows with his ticklish peck kiss. Erick chuckled.

"Goodnight Thea"

*********

Thea awoke in the morning with a growling stomach and crawled back fetus-style into the thick blanket that covered her entire body. The blanket's comforting woody mint aroma made her feel safe and sleepy.

Then it dawned on her, suddenly.

"Erick!"

She quickly got up and gave her temple a quick massage. She recalled that she had gone on their first date with Erick the previous evening.

Thea's eyes widened in confusion when she realized she had only consumed one glass of wine, but the outcome was a terrible headache. Is she unfamiliar with alcohol? after her second life.

What on earth just happened? Why was she in this strange room? Could this be Erick's room? Then a flash of yesterday night's memories of her intoxicated state come to memory. She remembers how she sat on Erick's lap and wiggled herself on his thigh. She also remembers the hard "thingy" she felt between Erick's legs and the passionate kiss she provoked.

Thea blushed and hid her face in her palm, gently stroking her beautiful lips as she took a deep breath.

"Oh... I gave Erick a kiss on the lips!"

Thea has no memory of her confession because it happened after their kiss.

But when she turned to face the room and saw that she was in Erick's bedroom, her red face turned instantly anxious. Have we done it? she carefully removed the blanket only to discover that she was still wearing her dress, Thea sighed but secretly wished they had gone all the way; if only she hadn't passed out the night before, perhaps she could seduce Erick and they could carry out the deed. Instead, She glanced to the other side of the bed and saw that there was no one else in the room but herself.

She laughed at her shamelessness. If you were to ask Thea, she would say that she wanted to start a family on her own, with Erick as the father. Thea doesn't even care if they have a child before marriage, as long as Erick is the father, and she is confident that her grandfather will support her. However, Thea was astonished to learn that Erick was a true gentleman.

But where is Erick now? she thought as she cast a glance at the vacant bedroom.

She got out of bed and grabbed the robe and slippers that appeared to have been prepared for her by Erick in the bed's corner. She noticed that her skin felt soft, and she was certain that Erick had cleaned her body the night before.

She smiled at how Erick's delicate care never wavered in this life as she slowly left the bedroom and felt a rush of familiar warmth rush into her chest, a feeling she remembered from when she was coming out of the coma.

Even though it is now dawn, the sky is still dark because the sun has not risen.

Thea wandered about the home, assuming Erick slept in the room across from her. She held the door open in an effort to slip in but was dismayed to discover it was locked.

"Is he terrified of me because I might pounce on him in bed? Yes, it's true, If there is an opportunity, but not now, my Erick." She chuckled.

Thea proceeded to strut around the apartment while giggling at her sinful ideas. Her attention was drawn to the enormous glass wall in the living room with a view of the sky horizon and the central city lights, which is suitable for Erick's personality. It's neither small nor big; the minimalist style of gray and earthy colors makes the space manly and at the same time comfortable to live in.

Warmth and minimalism.

She wandered on, only to find herself at the white marble kitchen island, seeing how fully equipped and immaculately kept the kitchen appliances were.

"Perhaps a clean freak, he truly knows how to cook."

In her previous life, when they were first married, Erick would prepare breakfast and dinner for her. However, because of her plans to take over the La Roche Empire, she frequently disregarded this gesture because she was preoccupied with achieving her goals. Erick was treated as if he were merely a decorative element at the mansion.

She also hates him because of his family and his background.

Thea sighed at how much of a b*tch she had been in her former life; no wonder Erick had married again. Did she show Erick respect? What about marriage? Do they enjoy their lives? Have they got kids? She questioned.

She felt a stab of anguish in her chest.

"NO!" I would change the future and show Erick all of my love and affection to make him fall in love with me. I would never allow it to happen in this lifetime.

Thea exclaimed, her eyes glowing with resolve.

She thinks about surprising Erick by making breakfast before he gets up, and a lovely smile crosses her face. Thea opened the refrigerator and pulled up her sleeves in her robes as she got ready to cook.
