A sharp pang of panic gripped the team. They couldn't figure out why the figure hadn't dropped to the ground although it had been struck. Instead, one of their team members had collapsed.
The few team members in the arena were not the only ones feeling puzzled. The crowd of onlookers was also bewildered.
