"He will come back to me, he always does", I repeat out loud, making fun of Bay's silly voice. "Maybe you should question while he's always leaving you in the first place!" I say louder, talking to myself like a maniac and shaking my head. Crap! I look straight ahead and see Alexander driving his car, coming my way. I keep walking and he stops in front of me.
He gets out of the car and blocks me so I can't ignore him. "Natalia, would you please get in the car so I can take you home? If you don't, you'll be late for your Slam Poetry Club meeting", he says to me almost out of breath. I don't say anything back. I just walk to get in his car, stopping him from trying to open the stupid door for me like he always does, when I yell "don't bother, I got it!"
